MomMed Portable Pet Scale with Hold & Tare Function, Precision Digital Scale for Newborn Puppy to 33lb

Easy to use (I got it to weigh my snakes initially, but now I'm tracking the weight of a four week old kitten that I'm bottle feeding.), works great, no issues thus far, and it was on sale. Accuracy seems right, the build quality is okay (definitely lighter than a lot of a scales so I hope it doesn't break easily), and it even has a ruler on it to track the size and length of an animal. Very practical. So far, I really like it.

The scale can’t tare. When I measure 18 grams and take some away after I tare it, it is still 18 grams like it remembers the weight before the tare. Sometimes the scale will measure by itself when there is nothing on it. It is easy to use and set up, but the tare button takes it all away.

High accuracy, perfect for first week new born pets, since new born pets are too weak and need precise care. But after first week or two, this scale will be too small for use, so is it really worth to buy a perfect scale for one week use? This is all depend on your own judgement.There is another bigger version of scale from mommed, but that also reduce the accuracy, which is still good for a little bigger pets (1-3 month puppy), but definitely not for first week new born.

I got this scale to monitor my cat's weight after she got out and was extremely thin when she came back. The scale is easy to set up and easy to use. A small animal can easily fit into the tray and the numbers are easy to read and pretty accurate. Not a bad little scale for the money.

The first HUGE problem with this scale are the soft touch buttons. They are on a ledge so that when you push on them the whole scale tips forward. The scale is very lightweight, but to reset the scale you need to press the tare button. But the buttons are on the scale so when you push them it tilts and upsets the scale. So it's very hard to zero the scale. Then after a time it stopped working. I'd put some food in a bowl and it would read 50g. I'd add more and it would stay at 50g. All it would read was 50g. And I tried turning off the hold, but 50g.If it worked, it would be nice. Clean, light, small design. But a proper scale need to have a base separate from the weighing table or it will never work. Threw it away and shopping for something different.

Someone donated some of these to the cat shelter that I volunteer at. I liked it so much that I bought one for my home. Very economical yet high quality. If you have a small pet whose weight has to be closely-monitored (hyperthyroid in my case) this works quite well. I even use it as a shipping scale.

Wouldn't recommend for a cat. Smaller than I thought it was going to be. Would be good for weighing food
