Care Plus Care Potassium Citrate Mixture 200ml, (Pack of 1)

It is a very old fashioned remedy for cystitis, & in the 1950`s you could go to a chemist and they would provide a large bottle of Potassium Citrate, (before other patent potions came on the market). Yes, it does not taste pleasant, in this form, so pop it into a half cup of cranberry juice and stir. It is brilliant and works well. Used with a cup or two of cranberry, lemon, barley water, (which I was taught to cook by my grandmother for this purpose) made from cooked pearl barley-add dash of lemon and a bit of crandberry juice to the cup, to flush things through), this mixure is the best. Being a potassium variety, (it is not sodium citrate like some modern patent mixtures), so won`t raise BP .

Kept symptoms of cystitis somewhat at bay while taking it for a week, but as soon as I stopped, the cystitis instantly flared up again. Useful if you can’t get an immediate doctor’s appointment to get antibiotics, which are the only cure for me.

Ive been taking this item about twice a year as I often get UTIs.It has a high salt content,so I would advise on the side of caution to check with your doctor before using.!
