can i use this in a normal toilet which is blocked?

No.It is designed to work with septic tanks, which break down organic matter and waste in a private tank. You'd just be flushing it down the drain, literally, in a normal toilet.

Will disinfectants and cleaners stop these working?

Disinfectant will stop them working as you are introducing bacteria into your septic tank so avoid cleaners that contain disinfectants. There are plenty of septic tank friendly cleaning products.

I have a macerator toilet on a boat the tank holds 300 ltrs would this product be suitable and is the dosage the same 1 tab per month

I don’t believe that the concentration would be too great for a 300 litre tank; but I question the logic of doing such a thing when your tank is pumped-out when full; while a fully-functioning septic tank can go many years without being emptied.....and this treatment aims to keep it working efficiently

Are these as effective in winter? Does the cold affect their potency?

Haven't had tablets for a winter yet. Suspect they will work but possibly slower in colder climates. How well insulated is your tank?
