Q: please can you let me know the dimension's of each platform, as well as overall size of item. thanks

The large platform is 16.5 cm x 14.5cm. The small platform is 7cm x 8.5cm. The overall size of the unit is 26cm x 17.5cm. The Salter Heston Blumenthal Precision kitchen scales are well built, carefully designed and perfect for cooking and baking. The design of the unit means that no matter what size bowl is placed on the platform, the digital display can be clearly and easily read. I have been extremely impressed with my purchase, which was worth spending a little extra on, and would recommend it to anyone.

Q: do these scales allow negative readings?

The scales allow you to place a bowl ,plate or similar onto scales and reset the weight to 0 , you can then add ingredients and reset again if you wish. When you remove the bowl the scales will show a negative reading until reset or switched off .

Hi. I am sorry, I had to return this scale because it kept "losing" grams (a couple per second).

Q: Is it supposed to come with a matching bowl?

You just get the scales, there’s no bowl included but I just use any bowl or cup at home, once you put the bowl on the scales you can press the zero button to bring the weigh of the bowl to zero and start weighing your ingredients. It’s very precise and neat.
