This book is published by a European (German) publisher. Books printed in Europe most often have text on spines that runs from bottom to top (reading direction). So it’s opposite what you see in the US. So it’s not a mistake and it’s not anything wrong with the book, it’s simply the fact that maybe you’ve not seen that publishers outside the US print their book spines different than US publishers. IMO this doesn’t detract from it being a beautiful coffee table book—the book is huge and substantial in text and images. Well worth the cost!
