renewable energy, good but not great
Firstly it's not a cheap unit. It should be noted that the instructions are very poor and strangely put together. as it's called "an add on" set you need to purchase a power function power unit to initially charge the power storage unit. There are clearer instructions online to explain the set up. (which I recommend) The instructions are strange in that one project is covered over not one but two manuals (new to me and it doesn't work) with a collection of lego you can build some nice pieces including a wind turbine, a water turbine and a solar panel. As with Lego I can see a great usage of this unit once you get round the technic hitches which shouldn't put you off

Could have been so much more
This Could have been so much more. The idea is a good one, but if you just buy the unit here, then there is no way to charge up the supplied battery, aside from using the solar panel provided, but i have yet to get mine even slightly charged despite having my solar panel in the sun directly for over 12 hours straight, This is very much a farce, with lego wanting you to purchase more of their equipment in order to get the best out of your kit
