Transformers Generations Titans Return Legends Class Brawn

As much as I loved the character of Brawn when I was younger, the original Generation 1 toy didn’t live up to his portrayal in cartoons and comics or that suggested by his ‘tech specs’.His jeep mode was fine, but his robot form had spindly arms and legs (the legs to such an extent that it was difficult to make him stand) which didn’t seem to fit with his name and reputation. Hence this is probably why his appearance in both the cartoon and the Marvel comic range was one of the most altered from his toy robot mode.This ‘Titan’s Return’ version, although still small in stature, is stocky and physically strong looking just as you would expect from his characterisation and behaviour. This extends to him having substantial fists that look better suited to is demolitions role.Ostensibly this figure has a robot form that resembles something like his appearance in the cartoon and the bulk of the comics (the earlier comic strips did feature a Brawn closer to his G1 toy appearance). This also means he has a more human featured face than the single slit dome of the original.The jeep mode is also pretty good. It has the nice bonus of having three slightly different appearances depending upon where and if you attach the removable roof part that also serves as Brawn’s shield weapon. In fact, this component is much better being used in this way than, as intended, as representing a weapon.Always one of my favourite Transformers characters for some reason, so it is great to finally see a good, strong looking, version of him available.

Classic Brawn as i remember him from the G1 media. looks far better than his G1 predecessor toy and had good articulation. Only disappointment is that the packaging is no where near as fun as G1- hardly any profile description, due to multi language restraints- shame , but still a great toy for children big and small!

I am trying to build my collection with the original characters from the series. This one was originally bought when he came out but was gifted to my grandson. I am glad to be able to find it and add to collection.
