Cosmetics Matte Nail Paint, Top Coat, Packaging May Vary

I really like this. I’ve got poor natural nails due to a medical condition so wear press on nails a lot. I find them too shiny so I add this and it makes them look so much more natural. It also works well over coloured nails polish. I applied two coats as the first dried a bit unevenly but I suspect that was my error in application not the product. It dried really quickly and I could use my hands within a few minutes. I would recommend it. If you’re better at nails than me I’m sure one coat would be good too but I do like the completely opaque matte finish two coats gives my nails.

First off - I am a male so this review may offer a slightly different perspective! I play guitar and especially play classical guitar (which I have not done for literally decades (I'm in my 50s) and for which you do not use a pick). To play classical guitar well you need decent nails - and I have found that in the time since my teenage years, and with little to no care throughout, my nails have become brittle and split readily. This situation is made worse by the additional demands of playing the guitar! In the past few months, I've been going through a process of trial and error with different brands (some 'borrowed' from my other half) but the Barry M brand is my stand-out favourite. The main (and simple) reason for this is the wider, square-cut brush. This brush shape enables me to paint my nails efficiently and neatly with minimum waste - something that I haven't been able to do with other brands. I combine use of this matt top coat with the Barry M nail combined base-coat, top-coat and nail hardener (which also has the square-cut brush and which I also highly recommend) to make my nails look more natural (I was very self-conscious of the sheen). In use, the polish does exactly what I want - in reducing the exuberant shine of the nail to a more natural looking finish! seems to provide long-lasting protection to my nails. The varnish goes on easily and initially, dries pretty quickly - touch dry in as little as 5 minutes but note that it does seem to take a while to harden fully - possibly as long as 15minutes. This maybe because the varnish seems quite gloopy (thick) when applying. Results are excellent though - exactly what I was looking for; highly recommended!

I've never owned a matte top coat before but loved the look so I got this. Upon first putting it on it was flawless, drying time isn't too long and you can tell when it's fully dry because it goes- well it goes matte don't it. The finish is nice (as seen in my first 2 images) but over the next couple days it goes a little more shiny around the ends of the nail (see my last image). I expect it to slowly keep wearing off making the matte look more and more subtle. I'm not complaining though because this was cheap and it's absolutely not a bad product just maybe not rated so highly for longevity which is why I took off a star.

My second time buying, a very good clear matte nail polish. I typically wear this in its own and it doesn't look like im wearing anything as its matt and thats what time going for due to wear i work . You are supposed to used this as a top coat over any other colour and it will make it matte and work well. Greatly priced compared to its competitors and does the same job. Fantastic ! Second time buying and I will return once again when I have ran out. Would recommend to you buyers

I am one of those people that never reviews anything..... if its bad I simply don't buy again. Due to work I am unable to wear nail Polish but ive found without a layer of "something" they end up brittle and snap or peel easily with al the hand washing. Ive always used rimmed 7 in 1 which I find a great strengthener but eagle eye bosses can spot it a mile away as its so shiny. This matt base coat is a game changer. Pic shows one hand with the matt coat on top and the other with just the rimmel! Seems to have held up all week with handfasting and alcohol gel as well which is a plus! Hopefully my nails can be hidden enough to heal now Will definitely be bulk buying this Polish!!!

Partner says its decent stuff, strong, and easy to apply. The stuff stinks though but I don't know if this is normal for this, as it doesn't smell like normal nail varnish, it's a very strong scent

Omg I'm obsessed with this matte top coat! It goes on so smoothly, covers the nail with ease, and just looks amazing, it gives designs a really smart look. But if you need to remove it, it comes off just as easily as it goes on. I absolutely love it.
