Surprisingly effective - solved my problem and no more ants
I was a little dubious as to how effective this would be - I've had an issue with a load of ants nests in my lawn (approximately 8 of them) and was getting fed up of the mess they were making, as well as some of them being red ants so not wanting the kids to play on the lawn. Given these apparently don't kill them but the ants will not tolerate them so move, I wondered if they would just end up in another part of the lawn. It's pretty easy to apply this - you make up a stock solution in a bucket with 8 litres of water, then take half a litre at a time and add it to a 5 litre watering can of water so it makes up 16 watering cans full. You apply each can to a nest and whatever is left you can put aver the rest of the lawn. This gave me just enough to cover the whole lawn.A week later, the lawn appears to be ant free now - I'm just curious where they have relocated to. If they come back, I may try pesticide instead next time, but for now this has done the job so very happy with it.

Seems to have worked
Need two watering cans to do this as it needs to be diluted and then diluted again for application. Seems to have worked for my red ants but not my black ants. Although in fairness I focussed quite a lot on the red ones as they were on my grass. I also applied during good weather so was hard to keep the grass wet.

Didn’t seem to work
This product didn’t seem to work on the ants nests in my lawn, they just got bigger.

Stopped ants coming in the house
We recently moved and had ants coming in our living room. I started by putting coffee grounds at where I thought they were coming in which helped significantly reduce the amount of ants but I was still occasionally seeing them so I ordered this, having used nematodes in the past for fungal gnats with success. It was easy to use. I used them on a day that was raining, watering all over my garden. I took the spout off the watering can to make sure they didnt get stuck in it and stirred as well as I could. That was 3 weeks ago and I haven't seen an ant since. I'm glad I found a natural way to deal with them and it was really easy to do.

Did not work at all this time
I used this natural product last year and was very happy with the results however like all nematode type products you do need to top them up, so when ants started to reappear this year I ordered a fresh batch. This time I am going to have to agree with a lot of the other reviews and state they did not work at all, in fact I think some ant nests actually got bigger. Which probably had nothing to do with the nematode but my keeping the area damp. I contacted the suppliers who responded very quickly. They stated they were sorry for the issues I was facing and came up with a list of why this might be happening, including soil temperature and pests in neighbouring gardens. They went on to say that as a natural product they do vary - which they really need to emblazon on their packaging so potential customers know that if the temperature isn't just right or the neighbours garden is overrun with ants this product might not work or as a natural product the nematodes might just decide not to work. I don't think this is very fair to customers as you buy a product expecting it to work and it seems to be a toss of the coin if this one does or does not. As for me, I am going back to the old options of zapping the nests with chemicals and killing the little things - mother nature failed so back to the big guns!

Works but not instantly
This product is easy to use and I have been using it for several years to reduce ants nesting in my lawn.It seems to work OK but the results are not instant. It takes a few days for the ants to move out. I also lift the lawn with a fork to disturb the nest and help the nematodes penetrate the ground.

So far not so good
It’s been 4 days since I applied this to a plant pot where there’s an ant nest. I’ve kept it moist as instructed and it’s been warm/overcast mostly. There’s still a lot of ants. I’m not too hopeful. I’ve used other nematodes for other pests and they’ve been great, these ones I’m not sure. Probably resort to using powder :-/

It does work to rid ant nests
I've used similar products to rid of garden pests in an environmentally friendly way. This kit was simple and easy to use. Just ensure that you have two watering cans tomato mixing easier. Mix the sashof nematodes in 8 litres of water. Use 500ml of mix and add 4.5lts to it giving you 5 ltr mix for each can full. Covered all my nests in a small garden and along the edge of my conservatory. No more ants this year. Yeah
