If you are starting a business of any size, including freelance or side hustle, this book is a must-read as your first step to pre-launch. As a corporate transactional paralegal with some business incorporation and compliance knowledge, I found this book informative and educational. But even if you do not have any background in law or taxes, you will still find this book easy to read and understand. If you follow the author’s guidelines, you can do most of your filings yourself. Another significant benefit to having this book is access to the author’s consulting services. Questions you have about your business, you can have him clarify and guide you through your next steps. My tip is to read the book, write your questions and then book a consulting session with him. My consulting session led to six more referrals to help me with my business. I wish had this book years ago, but better late than never. Not only does the author clearly and intelligently describe the differences among LLC, S and C Corporations, he discusses legal perks and tips clearly, and empowers the reader to understand not only what the accountant may be doing on your company's behalf, but to understand the exciting opportunities that exist to help you plan to your maximum benefit.

The author breaks down seemingly difficult concepts in a way that makes the info easy to digest. While I enjoyed the first half which focused on the basics (and even learned a few new things) I especially enjoyed the advanced tactics section in the last half of the book. I have read a lot of books on this topic and this book has some strategies I’ve never heard of.

I am just starting out in business and found this book extremely helpful in describing the differences of C corps, S corps and LLCs. Now I really understand what situations work best for each. The book has several chapters with advanced tactics and this is where the real "secrets" are revealed. I can't wait to use some of the strategies set forth in this book.

Michael Wedaa offers very practical information and writes in an easy to understand manner. As someone who has used LLC and INC in my small businesses, he provided some great tips and insights!

You don’t know what you don’t know, and wow, have I learned a lot about setting up a business. As an entrepreneur in many areas and different business types, this book has been eye-opening in regards to the best practices for each.
