10 out of 10. Brilliant if you have pain issues
Excellent stand, very light but stable. Much lighter than i expected and will not be a transport problem as folds up quite small in two easy to assemble pieces. Takes all the weight off for stand up or sit down playing, which is why i got it due to back injury. Very impressed with the quality and very comfortable to hold your sax while you're playing it. Very happy and would recommend this stand to anybody with shoulder neck or back probs from weight of sax. It also takes a lot of pressure off the fingers as you're not trying to control the movement of the sax at the same time as playing it. 10 out of 10 from me.

Excellent stand, I had a short cheap stand before and went to this one, yes it's a bit pricey but worth every penny. Highly recommended

Sturdy stand and held my tenor perfectly well but wasn't suitable for me. I have neck problems so I was hoping this stand would be good but it unfortunately didn't go down low enough when I was sitting and you can't really read music when your standing, as the curve of the tenor neck is in the way.

Beware for your Tenor Sax!
The media could not be loaded. DS730BPros :A great quality, sturdy sax stand, as with my other Hercules stands. In addition, this model gives easy access to sax from a standing position -no bending up and down with the sax.For alto Saxophone ONLY:Also can play the sax quite comfortably whilst it is on the stand.HOWEVER, THE TENOR IS THE HEAVY SAX!!this stand was purchased as it was advertised that you can perform with the Tenor on it (as well as alto)I hoped this would save my back during long practice sessions with my tenor.CONS : For Tenor Saxophone onlyThe bottom support rides up during normal play if the tenor is on the stand. Even when playing with extreme care in the knowledge this could happen.This results in the tenor coming unhinged from the stand, the expensive instrument clanking on the metal as it falls and left hanging on only the gripper, not to mention the danger to your teeth if you are playing it at the time.See videoNote the video is a simulation and I have deliberately agitated the sax on the stand for the purpose of demonstrationAlso its not possible to attain a good playing position with the tenor. (certainly for my stature)This is optimized for the alto but does not seem to be so for the tenor.Use with extreme caution for your tenor. I use as a stand for the tenor but no longer use it to play – defeating object of the purchase

Tough and strong
Great stand, no more bending to change instruments. Sturdy even well extended and with a tenor on it. Excellent value too.
