Simple and Effective. But read the Instructions First.
I recently had a bout of toothache around my two upper front incisors. The pain was incredibly intense although fortunately the ache didn't manifest itself into an abscess bar some minor swelling of the gum. Living the remote parts of the Lake District trying to find a NHS dentist proved rather difficult although I did finally manage to register with one. The only downside being that they had a full appointments book for at least a month. I could have gone private and paid a fortune, or perhaps took my chances at A&E. But rather than go with those options I made an appointment for mid April with my NHS dentist, and decided to try this Dentogen gel as an interim measure. I ordered two tubes, although to be honest one was perfectly sufficient. I read the instructions first, making not of the fact that only a small blob of gel was needed, and should be positioned on the front and back of the aching tooth and perhaps the teeth either side. The instructions did make it abundantly clear NOT to place any on your gums, lips or tongue as this may cause irritation and/or inflamation. And that if such an event happened to contact your GP or A&E as soon as possible. To be honest it doesn't really matter how careful you are with the gel some of it did end up on my gum and tongue. And even though it did sting for a brief period it soon went away. But I guess it might be a different story for someone who is allergic to the various ingredients within the gel. So it is vitally important such people read and understand what is involved before purchasing the product. I washed my hands after applying the gel, and even though there was a bitter aftertaste (as expected), it too soon disappeared after about 5 minutes. Best not to drink or eat anything for at least 30 minutes after applying the gel. This is to let the gel do its work to the full. And in my case the pain eased within 15 minutes, and disappeared completely after a further 15. I tried not taking any other medicines such as paracetamol before, during or immediately after the application as a) I didn't want to run the risk of some kind of reaction, and b) I wanted to see how effective the gel was on its own. Despite the taste and the slight sting, I have to say the gel worked perfectly, and lasted a good few hours before another application was needed. The instructions do point out that this isn't to be used constantly and that it is only a mask or suppressant of the pain and doesn't actually "fix" your toothache permanently. I have noticed, however, that I have needed the gel (and paracetamol) far less over the last few days, and my toothache isn't quite so painful. However, I will still be visiting my dentist in April because there is every chance the ache might return. Recommended, but read the instructions first!

Dentist in a tube
OMG this product is amazing. I order it after reading the reviews on here. I was suffering with a really bad toothache and have a huge dentist fear that the thought of going makes me physically sick. So I took a chance and order this and thank good I did within 3 days my pain was gone. This little tube is magic in my eyes. When i first opened the tube it didn't smell nice but my Nan always use to say "things that are good for you don't smell and taste nice" be careful when applying it as it can burn so I used a cotton bud and applied it to the area of pain and I felt it starting to work instantly, just don't swallow after use for about 10/15 minutes as the taste will not be very nice. This product cost me less then £3 and works. I would definitely recommend this product and it will always be in my first aid box at home. This product is 10/10

Great pain relief!
This gel works really well, it takes the pain away instantly. The only thing I'd say is the clove taste is horrible if it gets on your tongue but I'm happy to persevere with it as it's great for getting rid of pain.

Works but use caution
I had severe tooth pain and having been told by the dentist I needed the root canal doing and he couldn't do it for 3 weeks I decided to try this on top of the prescribed pain killers .I would say use with caution DO NOT put any on your tongue or cheek as this stuff burns like he'll and will damage the top layer of skin as I found out .It did help with the tooth pain but I personally wouldn't use it unless it was a tooth I could easily access at the front .I got up this morning in utter pain in my mouth thinking I had now got an infection , had a drink of orange juice and nearly hit the cieling with pain from the damage this stuff had done to my mouth no infection just raw skin and orange juice not a good mix 🙃

Unbelievable
Last night was laying in bed with the worst toothache I have ever experienced looking for help on Amazon as the pain killers were not even close to cutting it. Found this, good reviews and cheap so thought let’s give it a go. Don’t get me wrong, for a few minutes it tastes bad, but oh my god, does this work! For the first time in 3 days I am pain free. I just rubbed it on the inflamed gun, and the pain and throbbing that was running up my face and temple… ok not completely gone but improved 90%. Can’t recommend this highly enough

Toothache Relief
A bit awkward to apply and it gets on your tongue no matter how careful you are and the taste isn't great. However it gives fairly quick relief and I found that the effect lasts for quite a long time. I would recommend this to anyone suffering from toothache as it does bring fast relief.
