Brilliant game and very educational
Brilliant game, very simple concept and very educational. The object is to take turns making words from the letters on the randomly picked card, while the 'bomb' ticks, and the person left with the bomb while it goes off keeps the card. The winner is the one with the least cards.I think it is a better game than Scrabble for larger groups, as the timer prevents the usual scenario where one person deliberates for 20 minutes while everyone else falls asleep. Not just a game for quick-thinking youngsters - my 76 year old mother thrashed everyone else! My only (slight) criticism is that there is very little luck involved, so the game quickly weeds out those who are good and those who are rubbish at it. Two can play, but it makes it a lot harder as you don't have time to think up words between turns, and if the players are unevenly matched it will not be much fun for the loser.Am laughing at some of the 1* and 2* reviews here, some saying the bomb is not loud or realistic enough, or doesn't deliver an electric shock (?!), and another saying the opposite, that they didn't know that what they were buying involved a pretend bomb, and it wasn't suitable for children. I guess some people would complain because you could make swear words in Scrabble ;-)I can't comment on the durability of the bomb, mine is fine but it doesn't look like it would take much abuse. Had to grab it off my friend's 4 year old who was about to throw it against the wall - I think a rubber or foam outer casing would be an improvement.

Tick tick tick tick.... BOOOM!!! 😂
A great game that I was surprised with as I didn’t think it would be as much fun as it is. It’s super easy to learn how to play and takes literally seconds to setup when you do want to play. It’s a good laugh when there’s a few of you sitting around playing this and can be very tense when the bomb is ticking and terrifying when it goes off! My young son actually found it too stressful and now won’t play it again but we still play this game with family guests when he’s busy with something else.A great game that is guaranteed to produce a few laughs.

Great, but I didn't expect it to be secondhand
I was a bit upset to find that the game I received had clearly been used. There were no instructions and the playing cards were spread all over the inside of the box. On the plus side, the bomb already had batteries in it so we could play it right away (after googling the rules).I was going to send it back, but it was such a hit with friends and family that we kept it. Simple fun game for adults (even sober ones) and kids.

So fun!
We played this at Christmas and many times since. Lots of fun with ages 8 and up. Played with family and friends. Really rate this and wont be stuck in a cupboard.

Great fun!
A great game, simple concept so no explaining complex rules before the game starts. The only problem was the cards were too tricky for our little ones so we ditched the cards and had to use fruits, names, animals…that kind of thing. Other than that, great fun and would VERY highly recommend.

Disappointing
The game itself is great but the bomb is a waste of time, a gimmick, there is some suspense when it is ticking down but the poor explosion sound with no vibration just ruins the game. Have someone set the time randomly on a stopwatch, it works just as well without have an annoying, useless crappy plastic bomb.

Good fast-thinking game - wish my family liked it as much as me!
I love it -I bought it for an after dinner game for family get togethers, but my family aren't so keen. We play a simpler version than the restrictive ones on the cards (trying to find words ending in some letters is much harder than you think). We play that you can guess a word with the given letters ANYWHERE in them (beginning, middle, or end) and STILL the rest of my family find this so stressful, they only play to make me happy and for a very short duration. Oh well...

A Perennial Favourite
Christmas 2014 will be the 9th where Pass The Bomb has been enjoyed by my family. It's quick to play and always puts a smile on faces. I won't go into great detail, as others have covered it so well, but it's surprising how much you can suddenly find yourself panicking when it's your turn because the word you had lined up in your mind is used by the previous player......... and the bomb is "ticking"Yes the bomb explosion noise could be better but I don't think it spoils the game at all.
