Needle Threader Insertion Tool Applicator Thread For Sewing Machine Serger Sew

There is a knack to using this machine needle threader but once you've practised slowly a few times it becomes very easy to use, and much easier than manually threading. The trick for me was to hold the thread 'sideways' (so that the arrows are to the sides) and place the thread (which would naturally be in the vertical position) across the narrow section, then holding the thread taut twist the threader quickly clockwise and place it anywhere against the needle (preferably near the eye), finally slowly move the threader down all the while pressing gently - when it reaches the eye it will slip through easily. There's also a nice little hook for you to hook the small loop of thread coming out of the other side of the eye to pull it through more easily. I am very happy with this purchase.

Threader works but it’s a bit of a struggle maybe there is a knack that I have not mastered yet I will persist until I master it or give up and go back to the way that I have done it historically.

I tried using this, but was only successful twice in ten attempts. The item is a little small for an adult hand and the metal strip which is supposed to push the thread through the eye of the needle should be a much harder metal, it is so flimsy it bends if it misses the eye of the needle. It is not a product I would recommend and am just pleased I did not waste too much money on its purchase.

I bought 2 of these and it was a good job that I did because one broke almost immediately. However, it does help with threading my sewing machine needle but it is rather fiddly for my arthritic fingers. Much better than spending ages trying to thread by hand or using a conventional wire type threader. I will buy another as a spare if I cannot locate anything else more robust that does the same job

I've always had trouble threading my sewing machine and this wee gadget has saved me puling my hair out! It's a bit tricky to use at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze. Just don't force it as the pokey through bit (that's the technical term I use ;D) is quite flimsy and would probably bend out of position quite easily.
