Great series
Love these patterns! This lady made a great series of patterns for tiny animals. I love them all! I did invest in some dk weight wool in lots and lots of colors. So this was helpful.

Darling patterns, perfect for a Mobile to hang over a crib!
Very very cute - tiny toys are perfect for constructing a mobile to hang over a crib to entertain a little one...which is why I ordered this. All projects use DK yarn (or 8 ply - book is published in Great Britain). I'm pretty sure that if you wanted toys larger than the typical 2 - 4" ones in the book, you could simply use a heavier weight such as worsted and you get a larger toy. I'm a life long knitter with professional knitwear design experience and I've looked over the instructions carefully. They are written row by row, clear and usually are single page with photos on the opposite page. I appreciate that there are multiple photos of each toy which will help in placing decorative finishing stitches. Over all - this is a very nice book and I think an excellent value. 27 different breeds of animals with several sizes (Cubs) in many, plus some bonus patterns for camper vehicles and an arched entry for a safari camp. Very cute. I'm totally happy with this book!

The knitting instructions are easy to follow
I made four of these delightful animals. The knitting instructions are easy to follow, and not difficult, although #2 needles can be tedious.I wish there were photograph instructions for more than just the elephant pattern. I had trouble visualizing how to sew together some of the animals. I got the two front legs too close together and was not sure how to fix this. However, they are delightful, soft representations of the animals. Knitting each one took about an hour but putting it together took several more hours.

A menagerie of fun knitting
If you enjoy knitting animals or toys you will enjoy this book and easy to make patterns. Ishii is so creative. I have almost all of her books and I love working with all of them. Comments I've received when gifting these creations, how cute, how do you do that, can you make more. Ms. Ishii gets all the credit for her wonderful patterns.

and other such like organizations.
Book was sent to a woman's prison that can knit and crochet. The books I send get passed around to the women (there is a crochet club) and a lot of the items they make are for charity, battered women, unwed mothers, newborns, and other such like organizations.

Best knitted creatures ever.
The animals are so cleverly designed that you can see them take shape on your knitting needles. Somehow, the increases and decreases create the humps and narrowings that define the creature. With basic knitting techniques and stitches, Sachiyo Ishii has provided patterns that allow even a beginning knitter to craft small endearing animals with huge personalities.

Mini knitted safari, a great little book!
Great little book. Delivered today and I’ve already knitted the polar bear - although I haven’t sewn it up yet! Easy to follow instructions, and I like that the animals are shaped in their true form and aren’t just knitted teddies. Lots of scope to improvise, even for a not too experienced knitter - and gorgeous illustrations! The finished animals are quite small but that is what I was looking for. I’m hoping to knit them all for my grandson to play with when he visits. There is even a knitted safari mat and a few other props. The patterns would also be good for a Noah’s Ark, just knit two of each animal! Well packaged and delivered promptly. I am delighted with my purchase.

Delightful and fun
This is a delightful book and will guarantee lots of smiles. The knitting is a piece of cake, although the sewing-up will probably take twice as long (actually, it usually should if you want to make sure the finished article is as good as it can be). and the results are charming. I have not had this book long, but have already knitted quite a few animals. Some bears have been given away as cheer-up presents and they have gone down very well. You will spend happy hours making these and as they are quick to create, happy hours means lots of entertaining little animals. These tiny gems are actually even more realistic than in many another toy pattern book and a decent collection could make a wonderful treasure for small persons of your acquaintance (big persons like them too).

Great book for novices and expert knitters
Brilliant book, great for both novices and experienced knitters, comes complete with details on what you would need to make them and how to put them together. I'm making lots of these to raise money for an Assistance Dog for my daughter and will be selling them at the locak Christmas Fair, all being well we're not in lockdown again. They look fab.

Limited use
Although I have knitted a couple of these , very small and very fiddly so won’t get nearly as much use as I’d hoped .

A useful book for ANYBODY who can knit!
These little creatures will be quick to knit. They will be really useful for the children who always likes to carry a little toy around with them!As I knit for charities, these little animals will be a good choice, as they take so little wool and so little time.I particularly like the illustrations, especially the backgrounds for the toys. There are clear instructions and tips, so would be good for beginners as well as the more prolific knitter.I can't wait to knit them!
