Great variety of activities and lots of helpful advice easy for a child to follow up on. Good amount of story starters for when an idea is needed but also free space for own expressions. Quite a few pages of stickers included at the end! Really pleased with this purchase, I think my son will get a lot of use out of this book. He can hardly put it down and is inspired to improve his own comic-creating skills even though he thought he already knew everything there is to know about comics.

Great book, develops confidence

Looking at many different options of comic book making / guides, this one seemed to stand out above the rest. I would recommend this to anyone who wants more than just a blank comic book to draw in. It offers practical ideas on how to put stories together. The illustrations are colourful and interesting. There's lot of variety and choice and I think would appeal equally to boys and girls who have an interest in drawing and telling stories. My nephew has already written a story in it which I am looking forward to seeing next time I visit him. I would definitely recommend this over some of the other plainer versions out there.

Brilliant buy for £3-99. I spotted this in waterstones for £9:99 but decided to check it on Amazon and so glad I did! As it was less than half the rrp price!I bought this for 2 gifts...one for a 7 year old and one for a ten year old. Both loved it.The book has suggestions in and plenty to read for older kids but more importantly, loads of space for drawing loads of cartoonsI love this book as often these books are "how to" books with no space to draw so my kids get bored. But here they can draw then read a bit, then draw ....I'd say this would appeal to little ones from 5/6 up to teenagers as they'll appreciate the drawing bits.although possibly not older teenagers as its a young looking book.I'd definitely recommend this especially at £3:99!! As they really do sell at £9:99 in stores.
