Great tongs at a great price.
These are strong and chunky and the bits give a good grip on flat bar up to about 5mm thickness. They could be very easily altered to hold different shapes or draw the reins out for a little more length if you own a hammer, anvil and forge. Not only would I buy them again, I can guarantee I will be buying at least one more set to alter for holding round bar stock.

Good for what they are
As others have mentioned, these aren't the most amazing tongs in the world, but for the price (£20-£21) you can't really complain. I wouldn't describe them as "cheap", they're just very simple and have limitations. The pair I have are very cleanly made, the jaws come together very square, the pin is nice and thick, the handles smooth and even. The limitations are the length of the handle is short for some. Personally I wear a glove on the tong hand so have no issues, never really found them to be too short. I dunk them in water occasionally but that's normal practice whatever your tong handle length. My hands are also quite average size, so I find the handle a little too far apart, but you can obviously just heat this up and adjust as you like. The jaws are flat and simple so aren't good for every type of workpiece. But if you're just starting or want a simple flat pair now, these are a good buy.

OK tong. Good for the price but I wouldn't use this as your first/only tong set.
It is exactly what it says it is but it just isn't a very useful size/grip for a tong. Cheap and cheerful but if this is your first tong I would definitely get something more useful like a wolf jaw. 300mm is a reasonable size for handling items but it can get a little hot getting material in and out of the forge with them but again, can't fault them for this is exactly what is described at 300mm.

Good for thinner stock
The jaws are heavy and hold up to the odd errant hammer strike, I've found the jaws a bit tight on thicker stock so really only good for thinner stick maybe max 10mm after which you lose control and that's coming from someone with hands like an orangutan.

forge tongs
hi tongs are fine but a little short, they work as they should but if your running a very forge you may burn your fingers but fine for a beginner
