Wow! I wanted a carving set for Christmas day and got these. They've just arrived and coming in their own beautiful box which has a magnetic close on it, so they can be put away without worrying about cutting your fingers while rummaging around in the drawer. These would make a beautiful gift for someone you know that likes to cook. Both the knife and fork are beautiful, black with a little gold trim around the handle....they look VERY expensive

Pretty but not long lasting
Initially we were really happy with the product but the blade blunted very quickly. I admit that we had it for almost a year now but used it very little and now the handle snapped. For the money I would have expected more and not just a nice design. The coating came of the blade very quickly as well.
