Great hole saw but be aware that it comes with 3/8" hex shank arbor
I bought this hole saw because I needed to drill several holes for grommets in a new computer desk and it worked perfectly. The desk is about 1.5" thick and solid compressed particle board with a laminate surface on top. Ten holes in and the teeth are still as sharp as when new. I am glad that I will be able to keep this for the next project. My only surprise/disappointment with this hole saw is that it comes with a 3/8" hex shank so it wouldn't fit in my 1/4" impact driver without some finagling. When I purchased it I assumed that it came with a 1/4" hex shank as most bits I have purchased before do, and I could not find any reference to the shank size in the item's description. The holes came out nice looking and clean. The edges are not chipped or jagged. I have attached a couple of pictures and I was very pleased with the final cuts once I was able to convert the 3/8" shank to fit my 1/4" impact driver.

Better quality than expected
I bought this hole saw for a one time use to add a drain hole to a plastic boat. It worked perfectly and is a very good saw. The quality is tbere and I expect it to hold up well. The price was good and am happy to have it in my tol box for future use as needed.

The hole story
This is a pretty good hole saw! I had to drill a 3.125" hole thru more than an inch of fiberglass to install an outrigger. Fiberglass is pretty hard, not metal, but hard. And this thing chewed right on thru with a lot less effort and time than I was expecting. There is a one star loss because the mandrel is a poor design. Big holes saws should have indexing pins to keep the mandrel and saw in sync and not unscrew. This mandrel has just threads, so several times I had to stop the drilling, and retighten the set up. Other than that, this thing cuts it.

Great choice for notching tubing
The **Deep Cut Hole Saw** proved to be a high-quality tool with solid construction and sharp cutting performance, making it a reliable choice for notching tubing. While the depth of the hole saw wasn't quite long enough to handle angled cuts in a single pass, I was still able to notch one side at a time, and the tool held up well under pressure without dulling or chattering. Its durability and clean cutting edges make it a solid option for basic tubing work, but be aware that its limited reach may require a bit of extra effort for more complex angles.

New Standard Size
When I had to replace a deadbolt in an exterior door that was made in 1959, I found out the standard hole size was 1.75" and the present standard for both door knobs & deadbolts is 2 - 1/8". So, I ordered this hole saw to drill through the door. Had to nail a 1/4" panel over the original hole to get the center pilot hole lined up and keep the hole saw steady to cut out a thin ring expansion hole. Worked like a charm and didn't splinter the door when I drilled all the way through from one side of the door. The hole saw was deep enough not to have to drill both sides of the door.

Best hole saw on the market
Best hole saw available for tubing. I've been using these for 4 years and get countless notches.Never broke a tooth or stripped the threads out. Use a washer on the backside between the shaft to prevent that. I tried every brand available. None last like these as long as you're using it at the correct speed.
