Genuinely a fantastic product. I was highly sceptical but decided to try and was shocked on its effectiveness. Was being used on a 1 year old Labrador girl. Initially, she tried to swipe it off her nose. Got used to the straps very quickly ( same day ) now wears it every day with zero, I really do mean zero pulling. Before, a harness was about the best way to keep control of her without causing any discomfort but as she grew and got so much stronger, this became an issue for her and her breathing. No more harness is required. Simply this product is all we use now. Can't speak highly enough of such a simple little pair of straps.No, your dog is not muzzledYes, your dog can chase and pick up balls, sticks and even eat, drink etc.. with this on with zero issues.No, it doesn't cause them any stress or "rubbing" even with 2-4+ hour walks.No, it's not tight and neither will it fall off. It's very comfortable in its fit.Product pretty much is as it's described. really lightweight, Good quality straps, will definitely last a long time with daily use and can be tailored to fit your exact dog breed perfectly. My dog is a terrible puller but not only that she lunges at cars and other dogs so she can be a handful to control. This head collar is brilliant completely stops my dogs pulling and makes her walk nice, also no more lunging. I use it with a harness and double ended lead for extra control. Only issue wish it had a little padding on the nose band.

Really pleased with this product. My dog didn't mind having it on at all. She pawed at it once the very first time it was on and once more after I washed it and it shrunk a little so was a bit tight (ooops!), but it did relax again back to normal size after a short time!I paired it with lots of treats to get positioning right while on walks and it's made them an absolute joy. I was getting quite severe shoulder pain from pulling before I used this. My dog will walk to heal, but only for a short time and then I'd lose connection with her and she'd yank at the end of the lead. This corrected the issue as I had hoped.The instructions are endearing, if a little old fashioned. I did find it tricky to put on as the nose loop will always slip when it is not worn so you have to fiddle with it slightly to position it correctly before putting it on. The plastic clip seemed sturdy for what it is.I also bought a separate safety attachment as it didn't come with one, just to be safe rather than sorry.I've used it for a month now, but have decided to upgrade to a Halti, but the one with the separate loop around the nose and one underneath that tightens with pressure rather than the one with the same design as this. My concern with this one was that, although it didn't ride up into my girl's eyes when I had it correctly fitted, the loop would move slightly around her face if she was on one side of me for a while and that did bring it closer to her eye than I was happy with. I went for a head collar with more structure as a result.Having said that, the first time I used the new collar I attached the lead to the wrong bit and so there was no pressure on the head collar and she walked beautifully because she was used to wearing this one and walking so nicely!Overall I am really happy and it is very good value, especially as a way to check your dog will respond well without spending a lot. It made a big difference to walks, but does need to be paired with training in my opinion.

This works great! However, the plastic clip isn't very strong and broke quite quickly. I have purchased a few as it works so well and 100% works against pulling. It's a a shame the clip isn't stronger.

Absolutely fantastic, 5 weeks of pulling, barking at other dogs and lunging cured instantly, on the very first walk of wearing the gentle leader, he's a totally different dog.Amazing product.

I've struggled for the last three years to stop my Cockapoo pulling. Some days she literally drags me if she thinks I'm too slow. So after a recommendation I bought the leader. I didn't expect a lot but I did hope. Firstly it was so easy to fit in her. Second it was well clear of her eyes & looked so neat. It's fully adjustable too.So off we go on our first walk wearing it. For about five minutes she tried removing it with her paws, then rubbed her face against a fence. A quiet No each time & she stopped. From that moment on she walked quietly by my side, sitting when I stopped & kept pace with me. There was absolutely no pulling it was fantastic. It's well made & quote strong so I think it will last. But even if it doesn't last a long time I would definitely buy another one as it's worked & walks are now a pleasure. I'm an octogenarian, my dog is a medium size strong girl so that should give you an idea how brilliant this leader is.

i watched the youtube video on how to set it up and i just got scammed just get a halti or a good boy collar

Works a treat!I usually use a Halti or figure of eight collar.This better on all counts. Just a gentle twitch of the lead and you get a response. None if the pawing at it, rubbing it I have had with other similar collars. Easy to fit- ordered l for my Dobermann and could probably have got away with a medium..
