These scales do the job.

The item has many advantages: it is very light, accurate, slim and user-friendly. It measures both in the metric and British systems, measures liquids and solids as well. It is very easy to calculate the tare, which is something very useful in order not put the food directly on the scale. Also it was quite cheap. One disadvantage is that I must try not to put my fingers on the metallic surface, otherwise they will stay there and they are difficult to clean.Corrected from previous review: in order to switch off the scales (an to avoid the fact that it can start to measure the pressure done by your finger), try to press on the rightmost side of the "switch off" button.

I bought this on the basis of others' reviews, and so far so good. I buyed these scales because it was just what I was looking for and the reviews were good. I can honestly say it is one of the best scales! It is slim and beautiful by design. When I weigh food, it reads it accurately. I have even weighed jewellery and the reading was quick and correct. Even my family like it! I am so happy with this scale that I would recommend it to others. It works just like it says and is a very high quality product. I love it and I keep it nicely in my kitchen!!

Doesn't weigh properly about 100g less I can't tare because the button doesn't work properly

My old scales just couldn't keep up and failed in the middle of a cake making session, poor things. The answer was easy, Amazon to the rescue......Again. Next day bright and early the new recruit arrived. You think it looks good in the picture, you wait till you extract it from its very own sleeping bag, it sits there begging to loaded with flour, sugar and all manner of other weighty items you need to take care of. It's just fabulous and when you have finished loading it with your delights, just wipe it down and pop it back into it's sleeping bag, ready for next time.Superb item.
