Inspiring book to treasure
Incredible book and a real treasure. This honours the journey of the much missed, unique and beloved designer With a stunning collection of crystal clear colour photographs and excerpts of McQueens own creative thought process. One of the best coffee table/inspiration/resource books out there. Plus the holographic cover is amazing !

Terrific for students of fashion.
The lenticular cover of a portrait of Alexander McQueen changing by degree into a skull is a stunning piece of book design. This is the book that was produced for the Metropolitan Museum of Art exhibition in New York. Clothes are shown on lifeless white painted manequins and mostly photographed in black and white. In a way it is a pity that this book wasn’t expanded and re-edited to include the changes which were made for the”Savage Beauty’ exhibition at the V&A London. It would have been good to see working notes or drawings of how the designs started out. Terrifuc book for students of fashion.

Fantastic book
Bought as a Christmas gift for my daughter who is a textiles student. She had used some of the savage beauty designs for inspiration and this book is great. Visually it’s excellent, great content and images. The holographic cover is really cool. I think she will love it.

Love it
It a stylish book that i think the creative McQueen would of approved of. The cover flickers from a scull to McQueen face blending what i see as his creative talent and him, something worth spending a few min's or longer to admire. The book inside is fantastic is shows some pieces from all along his career in stunning print. All the pieces are mounted on Mannequins and i feel picturing them like this may not do them justice. I think i may of liked to see other images such as the Kate Moss Hologram Autumn/Winter 2006 as a selection of picture formats (presenting his talent as a artist) or maybe images taken of him in the Face say 1998 taken by Knight was such a powerful image. But never the less a book worth having and am happy to have it
