A lot less grizzly now!!
I ordered this balm on a Friday and was delivered on the Sunday. So far I'm impressed with the beard balm. It smoothes my beard down and leaves it soft and fresh. The balm smells great and isn't overly greasy.

It is what it is.
Disappointing. The balm, as someone mentioned, does have a strong smell of engine oil, shoe polish but with strong lemon. I would go so far to say it smells and handles like citronella swarfega thats used to clean hands in garages that I've used. It barely held my own beard shape and believe my beard dries out within 6 hours of using it- which I was not experiencing before with say coconut oil.Tiny pot. Price: £14.99 Sale: £11.97 which contained a low filled 50 ml instead of 60ml and a dented tin lid on arrival in an Amazon cardboard wallet.I do not mind paying high prices for quality products if I receive them but the balm, moisturising and wax beard products available everywhere on Amazon just appear a cash cow business for less than £1 of average total ingredients. I've spent £40 so far on oils and balms and not been happy with the products once in my hands. I know chalk from cheese. One product was sold and described on Amazon as 'Organic' beard oil and it was certainly not. The carriers were, the essentials oils were not. Therefore the oild I bought from another seller can't be a 100% organic product by nature - yet they certainly charged organic pricesFree suggestion to people would be to make all their own beard products with grade A ingredients and carefully crafted for consistency and aroma if you care for your skin and your wallet. A minefield of expensive products only awaits, and very likely let downs if you chose to not make your own. If you can stretch the extra £'s for all Organic ingredients then it is the only sensible way to go - you do not want to be putting non-organic essential oils on your skin for obvious reasons - they are not organic!I will not be buying again. My regret is not spending the money I did acquiring items to make my own very simple concoctions.Sending back is a pain in the rear so will be ditched.

Grizzly Adam tamed, soft and shiny and smelling lovely
I bought this for a friend of mine, as I'm clean shaven. It's nicely packaged and therefore make an excellent and unusual gift for the man who has everything (and a beard!)Some reviews have mentioned the smell isn't nice, though both myself and my friend disagree. It's a really pleasant mix of lemon/lime smelling citrus oil and cedar wood, and isn't overpowering at all.My friend is chuffed with his gift. He says that his beard is smooth, shiny and soft after using this, and he's really happy with it. Therefore I'd have no hesitation in recommending this.I received this at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Does The Job
I received this product at a discount in return for providing an honest review.I actually gave it to my son but did not tell him about either the discount or the review. The following is a summary of his opinions about the product bearing in mind that he is in his late teens and had never used any grooming product on his beard before. He had difficulty reading the instructions on the tin, in his words the instructions were tiny (he uses glasses to read) and found them difficult to read even with glasses on; he also found the instructions hard to follow because he found the instructions limited such as "working it into your fingers" he was not too sue what to do.However, through trial and error he reckons he got the quantity about right and now understands what "Working it in " means. His beard is fairly long and relatively straggly and according to his mother and from my own observations it looks a lot better after a week of using the beard balm. He has mentioned that it smells remarkably like shoe polish but I suspect that what he means is that there is a hint of beeswax about it which is one of its constituent parts. He has also mentioned that it felt a little gritty when rubbing it into his beard but I suspect that this is probably down to his not having worked it into his fingers sufficiently before applying it to his beard. In his own words he "Just does not understand it". I suspect that if he persists with using it he will notice a significant difference in his beard over time after all, the beard balm is replacing whatever natural oils are being depleted every time he washes his face. Three out of five stars is his rating. This may be revisited over time after all it has only been in use cor a little over a week.

I love this stuff
I love this stuff and keep coming back for more. Easy to apply, doesn't stay greasy for long like some other balms and smells great.
