If you’re an artist this is essentially a must. It’s really great if you’re broke like me and don’t want to constantly buy new (expensive) pencils when they get too small. They’re also a really good size as they’re not too clunky in your hand, and you can grip it well. Easy to use, good quality, my only complaint is that the colour chips a tad, but personally I’m not too concerned with aesthetics.

Great product. Between those 2 extenders I am able to fit moat pencils I own.

I bought a pack of these a few months ago, the smaller one was great and fit my pencils really well, but the larger one was a bit too small to really fit a larger size pencil (I was using derwent coloursoft) in and it felt like I was scraping all the paint off if I put a pencil in it but this didn't matter too much. Then tragedy struck and I lost the smaller one. I ordered another set this time however the smaller one was too loose to hold a standard size pencil, but he larger silver one was just that bit bigger that I was able to use it properly. Luckily I found my original one inside an armchair, so now I have one good set. Overall, really great product, I've managed to get about an extra 50% out of my pencils and you can keep using a pencil until they are about a centimeter long, they feel nice in your hand an are also good for eyeliner. It's just a shame that I had to order two pairs to get one effective pair.

Sometimes I pencil things in so furiously that I get dizzy and have to go and lie down for a bit. When I have finished lying down, I walk back to my fancy oak drawing table, only to find withered nubs where my pencils used to be. I started out with a large packet of pencils, and each one was slightly shorter than my left foot. These got smaller and smaller, until they were slightly shorter than my right foot. This was particularly alarming, as my right foot is a fish finger. Now listen closely son, where I come from people are careful with their money, and nothing goes to waste. These marvellous machines allow you to use every single bit of your pencil, which will probably save you enough money to buy a Solero next time you're in Dudley town centre. This could be at a time where you may be at risk from dehydration, and that Solero could save your life. You could potentially die if you don't get that life saving Solero, and you'll go out gasping for air, thinking "why did I waste so much of my money on pencils? If only I had enough money to buy a Solero, then maybe I wouldn't be dying right now". These pencil extenders could save you or your children's lives - buy them now!

I have to say, I would have loved to have these a long time ago. These pencils extenders are amazing, they perform the job really well but are also quite comfortable to write with. I wouldn’t say it has the perfect ergonomics but it’s just like a pencils but a bit textured. They’re smooth, black extender is matte and the sliver is a smoother steel like texture. Both very fine and easy to use. My pencils fit in nicely and it saves my fingers being distorted when the pencils get too small. I can carry on using my pencils for much longer now. The Greta thing about the extenders are the lack of odd feeling. It’s good a light weight and the feel of using the extenders is quite normal, which is nice.

These pencil extenders do the job on the relevant sizes of pencils. However, I really only wanted the larger size for the thicker coloured pencils that Derwent produce. I had to buy several packs to get what I needed and therefore ended up paying for several of the smaller size which I didn't need. I contacted Derwent and suggested that it might be more useful to offer a package of two the same size or even sell them singly to avoid having to pay for surplus items not required. They said they would pass on the feedback but didn't seem particularly interested. Unfortunately, I have had the same indifferent response when I asked for their pencil wraps to be given an extra flap at the top because the pencils easily fall out. Their seeming indifference to feedback is a shame since most of their products are otherwise excellent.

These are fantastic! The build quality is great and the way they are designed means you can fit a variety of pencils. I use these primarily for my pencils that are getting on the short side but I’ve also found that if I’m creating a drawing on A4 or A3 etc I can use them to shade without having to go over my work so no need for that protective paper I usually use so it means even less chance of smudging. Overall I’m very happy with these extenders and would highly recommend them to anyone. They’re also very comfortable to hold as well. Thank you Derwent, another great product.

Expensive but needed as the Derwent pastel pencils are fatter than most pastel pencils and ordinary extenders won't hold them.

Einen passendenden Stiftverlängerer zu finden ist mitunter schwierig. Da ich selber viel ausprobiert habe, möchte ich euch an meinen Erfahrungen mit den Derwent Stiftverlängerern teilhaben lassen. Die Packung enthält zwei Verlängerer: 7mm in schwarz sowie 8mm in silber. Die jeweils aufgeführten Stifte passen: Buntstifte: 7mm Verlängerer: - Derwent Chromaflow - Caran d'Ache Pablos - Prismacolor Buntstifte: 8mm Verlängerer - Derwent Coloursoft - Derwent Lightfast - Derwent Drawing (mit etwas Druck, Kappe wird leicht zerkratzt!) - Caran d'Ache Luminance - Faber Castell Polychromos - Faber Castell Albrecht Dürer Watercolour Pencils Bleistifte: 7mm Verlängerer - Staedtler Mars Lumograph (Feststellring sehr festgeschraubt, jedoch nicht ganz überzeugend) - Staedtler Mars Lumograph black (s.o.) - Faber Castell 9000 Alle Stifte können bis zum Ende des Verlängerers durchgeschoben werden, insgesamt 10,3cm. Die Verlängerer sind wertig verarbeitet und aus Metall. Schade finde ich, dass die Staedler Bleistifte nicht 100%ig passen, aber das ist auch nicht unbedingt zu erwarten, da Derwent ja ein UK-Produkt ist. (Die Staedtler passen übrigens perfekt in die von Amazon angebotenen marmorierten no-name-Stiftverlängerer ;-) ).

Perfect for short color pencils

Since I use mainly Derwent pencils these were a lifesaver (wristsaver, if you will). I like the metal, it's gonna scratch and look nice and vintage in no time.

購入して正解です。 画像は右から、一般的なホルダー、今回購入した黒ホルダー、同じくシルバーのホルダーです。 普通のよくあるホルダーだと入らないホルベインやポリクロモスでも、シルバーのホルダーなら入ります。他の方も仰っているように、塗装は多少ハゲますが、値段の張る色鉛筆を頻繁に買い足すのを考えたら全く問題になりません。 黒のホルダーは、ステッドラーのカラトなど、普通のホルダーでは筆圧かけると徐々にズレてくるような細軸のものでも しっかりホールドしてくれます。 なかなかこの太さのホルダーが無かったので、重宝してます。
