A fantastic source to buy an absolutely stellar show from.
-Only took a few hours time for dispatch-Only took a week to arrive-Disc quality was great, had no issues-Case quality was great, had no issues-In regards to the actual show, I had already seen it beforehand and deemed it more than worthy to shell out the cash to physically own it. One of few shows where I was captivated throughout the entire twenty-five episode runtime; I couldn't stop watching. Absolute masterpiece, and one of the greats in the anime medium. You will love this show even more if you're a fan of that sweet 90's animation. As far as dubbing goes, let me say this. Generally, I hate English dubbing in anime and will go with the original Japanese voiceover, nine times out of ten. However, I can safely say they did a good job with the English dub here, so I would say you're free to watch the show in either language that appeals to you....personally though, Japanese dub still does a better job. As far as how it looks on a screen, playing it on a PS4 connected to a 40" HD TV looked great, and it made little to no difference on a standard DVD player plugged into an average TV.I recommend it to anyone who enjoys Game of Thrones, or any other dark fantasy work of fiction. I would advise caution for the faint of heart however, as this show can be very dark with overarching brooding themes such as war, death, nihilism and loss. But as far as my personal tastes go, this show is as near to perfect as anything can get.

Berserk about Berserk
The time is around the 1040 AD period, During the 100 year war. Based on the popular Manga comic series, Berserk (anime) does a great job at capturing the moments on paper and bringing emotion with them onto our TV screens. As a reader i have noticed some particular events were taken out of the anime. On the other hand i have noticed some things have also been added that are not from the comic. With the fact the writer and illustrator of the Manga series condoned everything that happened in the series (Kentaro Miura.) makes it that much more satisfying. We are thrown into middle England and into the life of an orphan boy who has learned nothing but war, his only posession being a sword. Fighting in battlefield after battlefield to make money the only way he knows, he comes across 'The Band Of The Hawk'. This leads to The boy (Gatts) growing into a man and learning to dream rather than just surviving. If i say too much i will spoil it for the ones who are yet to watch it but it is a brilliant story, the characters are shining and the hero is legendary. The music in the series is perfect, it portrays the moments beautifully. My personal favourite anime series.

My favourite Anime
I only watched Berserk around December, but I was hooked from episode 1. I always heard great things about it, so I decided to watch it. I can't really go into detail without giving spoilers, but if you want complete satisfaction from this franchise, watch the anime first, then watch the movies (some interesting details in them, although they're not great on character development) and then READ THE MANGA. You will be left feeling disappointed that the anime ended where it ended in the anime, I sure as hell was. It was never actually made to be the full adaption of the manga, so bear that in mind. Nonetheless, it's my favourite anime, and I cannot recommend it enough!

A great introduction to Kentaro Miura's dark fantasy series
For people unsure if they'd be interested in the long-winded manga series by Kentaro Miura, this is a great introduction to the basic setup of Berserk's origin story. It's gruesome, it's depressing, but all the characters are well-written and well-developed.There are some notable omissions of certain important characters, but it's made up for with some additional character development that only serves to further flesh certain characters out a bit more than they were in the original manga. The animation can seem kind of stiff and low budget, but it's made up for by very tactical use of beautiful stills and some excellent music by Susumu Hirasawa (Satoshi Kon's Paprika, Millennium Actress, Paranoia Agent) to enhance the atmosphere. This is also one of the few Japanese animé where I could full-heartedly recommend watching the English dub: rather than the Disney versions of some Studio Ghibli films, these aren't generally movie actors as much as stage actors with a good resumé and great emotional depth. The original Japanese voices are also still very much worth it, but I'll say that you won't be suffering if you do decide to watch this series with the English voices.Particularly Jon Avner's narrations stand out to me in just how dark and cynical they sound, but Kevin T. Collins as the handsome Griffith and Marc Diraison as Guts make for a fine duo of protagonists with plenty of range in their performances. That said, I would recommend this as an introduction to the series but not as representative of the whole. It ends at a point that's been long surpassed by the Japanese graphic novels, so if you want to continue the story or perhaps read it in full, that's going to be the medium I recommend the most. But of all the animé adaptations of Berserk? This is my favourite.

This is by far one of the best Animés I've seen to date. The story, the action and the artwork is simply awe-inspiring - I was totally blown away by this.Without going into too much detail and giving any of the story away if you like Manga, lots of action, a very well thought out story with great character development, humor, oh yes and lots of blood then look no further! This is officially my favorite ever Manga!!! BUY IT - you won't be disappointed!!!

BERSERKER Stark
Also "feel no shame" kauft euch ruhig diesen Klassiker.
