Oil painting is good. Just need to get use to it.

I used these oil paints for a few first times - first time portrait painting, first time value study in burnt sienna and white, and first time oil painting. These nontoxic paints performed exceptionally well for such a low price. I’m still waiting to the paint to dry totally, but it’s also given me the opportunity to continue to blend the paint a bit. I used food grade walnut oil to thin the paint and Dawn dishwasher detergent to clean the paint brushes.I bought another set just to have on hand while the price is lower. I painted on a pre-gessoed 5 x 7 canvas panel.

Love these oil paints. They go on nicely and are very easy to work with. Beautifully priced.

For the price they aren't bad. When I first put some on the pallet they looked promising, they seemed to be well pigmented and not real runny. They are smooth, and easy to work with, my only complaint is that the colors are more transparent than opaque when thinned even a little. I was hoping to be surprised with a bit better pigmentation in the paints, but they are good enough for a beginner/student level paint.
