As a Dutchman who used to buy this type of liquorice as a kid I can say that this meets all the requirements. A strong salmiak taste makes it an excellent salty snack. Brits reading this beware. My wife has not acquired the taste for this, as have most people from the UK. It does not resemble the 'liquorice all sorts' by a long way.

A bit soft - normally they have to be hard on the outside

I was introduced to Venco Schoolkrijt Zwart by a Dutch friend who would kindly bring me these sweets whenever she returned to the UK from a visit home. It was never enough though because as any fan of liquorice will attest to, salt liquorice in particular, it is very addictive. Anyhow, this brand is nice but it's missing the crunchy shell of the Venco product. I bought these hoping they'd be a suitable replacement for Venco Schoolkrijt Zwart, which is hard to source in the UK, but they're not. These are nice but not what I was hoping for so I wouldn't buy these again.

I love 💕 liquorice. They’re soft, chewy, not overly sweet - real Dutch liquorice!

They are rather nice but a bit addictive or I am not disciplined such a big bag of lovely sweets needs will power
