Dreamfarm Grindenstèin Sturdy, Compact, Modern Space-Saving Espresso Coffee Grind Knock Box - Black

I was looking to upgrade my cheap knock out box. The one I had before started falling apart, This is sturdy, goes in the dishwasher, can hold about 10 pucks, is very compact, and does not slide around due to the rubber grip at the bottom. You bang the portafilter directly on the rubber part, so the puck will break into two (most of the time). It works as expected, nice and firm but also wouldn't damage my expensive portafilter or basket. I imagine it will last for many, many years.

I was recently gifted an espresso machine and decided to buy a knock box. It's honestly one of those small upgrades that makes a big difference in my coffee routine. The design is compact so it sits neatly next to my espresso machine without cluttering the counter. It feels solid and well made, not at flimsy so I am not hesitant about knocking the portafiller on it. Functionally, it’s excellent. The knock bar is sturdy but gentle on my portafilter, and the angled opening makes knocking out pucks quick and mess free. The rubber base keeps it from sliding around, even when I’m knocking with a bit of force. Cleanup is very easy too, just rinse it out and you’re good to go. The colour goes well with the other appliances in my kitchen and doesn't stand out at all. If you’ve been gifted an espresso machine for Christmas then I would highly recommend getting this knock box. Good value for money as it has made making coffee more convenient.

Very useful. After continually making the kitchen sink filthy and enraging my wife, I decided to purchase a knock box. This one seemed to be well received on the internet so I took the plunge. It's a neat little thing and quite pleasant to the eye. The outside is a quality gloss plastic and the arm is coated in rubber. There is a grippy rubber base to stop it from moving and it has a decent weight. I've almost perfected my 1-hit-knock! Fits nicely under the coffee machine for storage and looks in keeping with most machines.

Why do I need this was a question I asked myself a few times. If you're reading this you're probably thinking the same. Let's be honest, it's just an expensive bin with a rubber bar across the top. My coffee making routine would see me unlocking the portafilter, walking across the kitchen (dribbling coffee or leaving a small trail of used coffee grounds), getting to the bin and trying to find a spoon, then spooning out the used grounds (which never came out in one go), sometimes dropping the basket into the bin............ I got bored of this after a while and put a small Tupperware tub next to the machine but I still had to spoon out the grounds. This was okay, but still not a perfect solution. I bought the knock box and it was delivered the next day. It was slightly smaller than I was expecting, but on reflection who wants a load of used grounds hanging around. Plus, space is at a premium on my worktops. I've show the box next to a pound coin so you can gauge the size. This is a quality item, it just feels nice and solid. You can give the portafilter a nice whack on the bar (which stops the basket falling out) and the grounds are 'ejected'. The basket is then ready for fresh grounds - job done. So, a small Tupperware tub or a walk to the bin with a spoon will do the trick, but this in my opinion is way better. Plus, I empty the use grounds on the garden and its dishwasher safe. I'm happier now that my wife doesn't grumble about my coffee trail across the kitchen floor.

I tend to stick to only good / high reviews when purchasing on Amazon, and this product was up there with the best of them, so I had high expectations. When it arrived I was surprised how tiny the knock box was, to the point I was a little concerned. Once unboxed, you immediately feel reassured, yes it is on the compact side but it's plenty for an average household and their coffee each morning. You also immediately realise the box oozes quality and has the correct amount of sturdiness, which at this point I was bowled over. To finish off, the box will always be nicely secured via the inclusion of some welcomed rubber trimmings on the underside. Highly recommended and a must for those at home baristas.

I had been using a cheap knock box with a removable rubber bar. It sucked. This is a slick and sturdy little thing, and worth the money. One knock pucks with no dramas. The grey fits in well with my DeLonghi La Specialista 👌

I had misgivings when this turned up. My ECM machines portafilter handle / basket is 58mm and looks massive in comparison to this knock box. I should not have worried. This works perfectly. The coffee puck just rolls off the strike bar and falls whole into the box. No mess. I expected exploding coffee puck everywhere upon striking but not the case. It’s sturdy, doesn’t slide across the worktop and looks very unobtrusive. V pleased.

Ich nutze den Dreamfarm Grindenstein Abklopfbehälter für Kaffeesatz nun schon seit einiger Zeit und bin absolut begeistert von seiner Einfachheit und Effizienz. Das Design ist durchdacht und auf Praktikabilität ausgerichtet. Dank seiner guten Bodenhaftung ist der Behälter rutschfest, was bei der Anwendung enorm wichtig ist. Selbst bei eher unsanfter Behandlung bleibt der Behälter stabil und zeigt kaum Gebrauchsspuren - wirklich widerstandsfähig! Weiterhin ist der Jet-Black tiefschwarz Abklopfbehälter ein echter Hingucker. Nach dem Abklopfen lässt er sich zudem sehr einfach reinigen. Das Material des Behälters behält auch nach häufiger Reinigung seine Farbe und Qualität bei, was bei günstigeren Modellen oft ein Problem ist. Zusammenfassend tut der Dreamfarm Grindenstein Abklopfbehälter für Kaffeesatz genau das, was er soll: Er sorgt für eine effektive und bequeme Kaffeezubereitung ohne unnötigen Aufwand oder Platzverbrauch. Ich bin voll und ganz zufrieden und vergebe daher volle 5 Sterne! Ein echtes Must-have für jeden Kaffee-Liebhaber.

Never thought this niche product could be a need for espresso machine but is now invaluable!!

Veramente utile per chi, come me, ha la macchina del caffè lontana dal cesto del sudicio. È molto stabile grazie alla gomma che c'è sotto e alla qualità del materiale, è leggero ma non troppo. Le dimensioni sono giuste sia per la praticità di utilizzo ma dopo per il poco spazio che occupa. Bello il libretto che consiglia come utilizzare i fondi di caffè.
