I bought this clipper set as my hair has receded to the point that it was quicker to cut my hair than wash my face. So after looking around I settled on this Wahl kit so that I could cut my own hair rather than bother the hairdresser.Amazon dispatched the kit the day after ordering so well done Amazon.I took this kit to my hairdresser on our family visit so that she could give it the once over and let me know how good she thought it was. This kit is very well stocked. The clippers are well made with a heavy duty motor. The small trimmers were so good that my hairdresser wanted to steal them from me. and with nose hair trimmer, scissors, every blade guide you could ask for oil and even a protective cloak you really couldn't ask for more. All the components fit neatly in to the soft nylon case provided, so that you can keep it all together. Her opinion was that this is a very good starter kit for a hairdresser never mind for home use and well worth the money.The clippers are smooth over the scalp and cut my hair with ease, just keep them lightly oiled inbetween uses and you cant go wrong.As said above there is every clipper guide for setting the cut height that you could need, even having special ones for around each ear (Left & Right handed).The cape is big enough but the velcro fasteners have unstuck themselves and so I don't use that myself.The precision trimmer is very good, cuts easily and Precisely, it works off 2 pencil batteries as does the nose hair trimmer, which is also very good and pain free when used.Conclusion: A very good kit, provides and does everything that I could wish for in a hair clipper set. Well worth the money and should last years.

Like most packaged sets this comes with a load of rubbish that just goes straight in the bin. Combs, scissors, mirror, cape all of which are the kind of quality you'd expect from a Xmas cracker.The beard trimmer is battery powered and quite cheap feeling, but hopefully will do the job. As for the the nasal trimmer, that's even cheaper plastic and was actually in bits in the bag. Not worth the time for a return, and it's back together for now, but don't think it will last.The main head shaver is excellent and much quieter than the 25 year old Wahl shaver it's replacing. It actually seems to be of equal quality, so here's hoping it has a similar life span.

Clipper arrived yesterday so after a look at the instructions and the dvd I made a start (on my own). It's a bit tricky on your own but I first went all over with the longest comb and then starting from the lower neck with the half-inch comb I shaped the back and sides and blended it in. I reckon the result was alright, no missing chunks or anything, and my wife was able to tidy up the odd bit that wasn't quite perfect. It took quite a while but it WAS a first attempt and one quickly develops more confidence as one proceeds.I thought the dvd was fine and the accesories are prefectly adequate for the job. The main clipper seems very solid and well made; you also get a small clipper and a nose & ear hair trimmer and a whole range of combs. Everything you could need in one box, in fact. Three more self-cuts and it will have paid for itself.

I've bought 4 or 5 pairs of hair clippers in past few years. Panasonic (£40) - Phillips (£30+) - Babyliss? (£40) plus others. Every time, I have found them next to useless as they simply do not work. I want a simple No.3 cut every 4-5 weeks but all my previous clippers have either not worked at all or, only work when someone ELSE uses them on me. I asked a friend who is a hairdresser what the best brand would be and she sent me a link to these Wahl clippers. As well as coming with a host of accessories, I can clip my hair MYSELF to a good standard in a matter of a few (3-4) Minutes. Was initially disappointed to see they were NOT cordless, but the cord is plenty long enough to be usable pretty much anywhere.

I bought a Wahl hair clipping set, about 10 years ago, and while they continued to function. The edge had gone off, the attachments looser and looser, so decided to reinvest in another, new and more up to date set. This set came with nasal hair trimmer, and a hair trimmer, both battery operated. All function very well and the mains operated set, of clippers, are excellent. It all comes in a compact case, which is very handy, to store all the additional accessories that come with. Fast delivery, packed well, so hopefully, they’ll last another 10 years!!

I was skeptical for the cost that this kit would be anything close to a professional barbers clippers.However the quality is excellent, the clippers feel heavy duty and cut through hair like butter. Many different attachments are included, along with a small clipper for around ears, neckline etc..The only slight negative comment I could say is some of the accessories feel cheap, like the scissors, and combs but this would not prevent me recommending this product to anyone looking for a home barber kit.
