The A&M CD Box Set 1970-1975[8 CD]

One of the truly great voices in Blues/Rock and Roll music------Steve Marriot.

Despite what other reviews say, I love this set. Remasters are impeccable!! Packaging is outstanding. The book is just flat out awesome. Recommended for Humble Pie fans. Now they should do a set for the rest of the catalog!

My only gripe about this box set is that the original album covers weren't included. Nice book. Cds sound great. Nice bonus tracks. Many of these cds are hard to find in the US other than rockin the fillmore, smokin and rock on. Nice box cover. Great band that deserves their due.

The packaging is amazing, the remaster is close to perfect. The bonus tracks are ok, they areThe only drawback to this set. I was never a huge fan of Humble Pie back in the day, I am now.

Perfect. I Love It. I've been a fan since I saw them with Peter Frampton. The only problem was, what took them so long to come out with this

The good:Audio-wise, this is an excellent set. There are deep lows and crisp highs, no obvious clipping or distortion of any kind. I've never heard these albums sound this good and I've had them on vinyl for over 40 years. There's a very nice book too, lots of pictures, press clippings, old reviews, etc and a concise history of the band.The bad:The CDs are not packaged in jewel cases or mini-LP style cardboard sleeves. You don't get any of the packaging that was included in the gatefold sleeves of Humble Pie, Rock On, Rockin' the Fillmore or Eat It. No die cut Thunderbox either. Nope, they went super cheap and stuck all eight CDs in two cardboard folders, four discs in each one. They're not on spindles, they're just shoved into cardboard cut outs. You don't even get photos of all the album sleeves in the hardcover book with the band's story. Sure, it's got that nice essay and the info for each album, but man, they went cheap on the CD packaging. Due to that, the $100 price is really high for what you get.

The masterings of these CDs were not as full as their Japanese SHM-CD masterings of these same 7 albums. If you don't have any Humble Pie CDs then buy this and all you need is their first two albums that Peter Frampton wouldn't sign off on. If you are looking for the best masterings of these albums then look elsewhere for the CDs...I am sure the Vinyl sounds amazing but I havent bought any Vinyl since 1987 and I am not about to start now. The book inside is nice. The cheap cardboard slips to put your CDs in are horrible for several reasons...they scratch CDS , they get worn out over time and they will hold your CDs loosely over time. Just buy digital download of the disc 8 bonus tracks instead of spending 100 dollars on this set. I will sell this set used and lose money. *sigh*

I love classic rock, I love Humble Pie. This is a well crafted package...outer box, two gatefold inners that hold 4 cds each (no jewel cases or LP repro cardboard whatsoever) and a nice hardcover book detailing the group's history. I would have really liked to see more emphasis given to incorporating the original LPs artwork to the package somehow. The book provides the LP images to accompany the text but the package artwork is a disappointment. The music sounds great and the unreleased songs (disc 8) rock!

Das ist von der Aufmachung her die beste Box, die ich je gesehen habe. Inhalt: Ein Hardcover Booklet und zwei Mappen. Klappt man sie auf, hat man jeweils 4 CDs in gleicher Aufmachung. Einfach herrlich. Ach ja, Musik ist auch drauf. Die ist auch hervorragend. Kurzum: Eine perfekte Box zu einem unschlagbaren Preis.

Så utmärkt box med Modset Steve Marriot när han utvecklade den tidiga hårdrocken början på 70 talet med sitt Humble Pie!En av rockens största och bästa sångare i ett band som ledde vägen. Precis som Zeppelin är de varierande - från blueshårdrock till tung Soul rock och akustisk! Med i boxen bonus cd med b sidor och outgivet material!Gillar du Mod och hårdrock är det något för dig!🎸😊🇬🇧
