Game Changer for Pulling Exercises - No More Grip Fatigue
I can't recommend these enough. I wish GymReaper hooks had been around when I first started lifting. They make a huge difference in pulling exercises like lat pulldowns, deadlifts, cable crunches, and rows. My grip is no longer the limiting factor. No more finger fatigue. No more straining my wrists and palms. I can focus on the actual lift instead of worrying about my grip giving out. These are an absolute game changer for anyone serious about lifting heavier. Excellent quality. Function much better than lifting straps. Great value for the money.

Great for deadlifts
Great for going for a 1RM where grip strength is the limiting factor. Very durable and padding is great.

Game changer!
I’ve been lifting for over a decade but didn’t discover hooks until about a month ago. I have short, stumpy fingers so losing my grip on heavy deadlifts is a problem. The first pair I bought were accidentally run over by a car before I tried them. Even then the hooks held their shape. The best feature is you can corkscrew in your feet then simply hook the bar. You know how hard it is to make adjustment after you have your straps cinched up. These will feel very strange at first. You won’t be able to wrap your thumb around the bar so will feel like you don’t have control. You have to learn to just forget about your grip and trust the hooks. You can concentrate more on the rest of your form. I do 5-6 reps at 450+ plus and the wrist straps stay tight and secure. They’re comfortable enough that I don’t have to re-wrap between sets and can get my belt snug without having to take them off. They work great for both straight and cross grip. The only negative is they don’t work well with dumbbells because they’re too wobbly without being able to wrap your thumb.

Comfort level
This is my first time using weight straps. I liked the idea of not having to wrap a strap around the bar before lifting so I bought these. The pros are that it a quality product. The “hooks” are made out of some kind of powder coated composite material over I believe metal. They fit snug around my wrist and are adjustable with Velcro. He only reason I gave it a three star is because the hooks do not allow your hands to contort to the bar like a standard strap would. I have found this a bit difficult when dead lifting and sumo squatting, however, all you need to do is work with it till you find a comfortable grip. It’s very nice with RDLs and if you enjoy hanging ab workouts. Overall I am pleased with the product

they do what they advertise but feel weird because you can't GRIP
These are sturdy and well made. Good price. They work great, just as advertised. My only complaint is that they feel weird to me when lifting free weights because your instinct is to tighten your grip and really GRAB that thing, but with these hooks you cannot do that. You are just tightening your hand around the stiff hook. I like these much better for machine exercises where I can put the hook around a bar or attachment on a cable machine or the handle of a machine. These are a GOOD value for hook type grips. I'd definitely buy again and they are an important part of my gym equipment bag.

Good gear
They work great for me. I use them exclusively for shrugs. I’ve never been able to get any use out of wrist straps. Can finally work traps to exhaustion without grip being an issue.

Nice BUT!!!
They are good honestly! BUT THE PROBLEM WITH THEM IS the “hook” that “grips”the handle to the weights isn’t positioned properly!! You MUST BE CAREFUL!!! DO NOT let the bar slide out and off then CRUSH YOUR FEET!!! They are nice but really I should save up and get a smith machine…. LIFE GOALS!

Perfect for those with Hand Issues (weakness, injury, ailment, recovery)
I suffer from problems with gripping in both hands (ligaments inside palm area), so I had issues doing any pulling exercises with dumb-bells or bars. I purchased these 'hoping' they might help me. I was absolutely shocked at how perfect they suit my needs. I use them for several pulling (up/down) exercises, including things like shrugs and side-to-side movements. The bar/weights are under control (no slipping) and my hands do not have to exert any force to grip. The wrist wraps are comfortable and provide sufficient hold at wrists so nothing slips. You adjust tightness to the point of control short of restricting flow to hands. There is no pinching or binding that would otherwise occur with traditional wraps. I am 100% satisfied and couldn't be happier. I'm comfortably doing exercises that I was previously unable to perform because of problems with my hands.
