2 yr love affair
I wanted to use this for a while before I made any reviews or judgments. I purchased on 11\2021.TL:DRI will never use another blender again. It does everything that the I need plus more. if it lasts as long as it claims to it is well worth the investment and with the warranty on the motor I am not worried in the least.I can make creamy ice cream, smoothies, raw food juicing, milks, nut butters, soups, drinks and much more.I was an avid fan of Nutribullet. I started out with the magic bullet and progressed my way to the 1200 w Nutribullet that claimed it could blend any fruit or vegetable into a creamy smoothie.Wrong. I would always have small chunks of ginger and baby spinach in my smoothie. I have an aversion to certain textures so this was not acceptable. So I began the deep dive into finding the perfect blender for me. For my household needs I needed a blender that was capable of doing multiple things well ( smoothies, drinks, nut butters, milks, soups, actual blending, whole food juicing, etc.)At first I thought 549 dollars for a blender? Hard pass. Then I noticed I kept coming back to the this blender. I then deep dived unbiased reviews of this blender vs the Blendtec vs the ninja blender. While in the videos the vitamix came out on top about 80% of the time, the only defining qualities the other machines had were a lower price point.i decided against the NInja because the 3 towers of detachable knives peaked my Final Destanation senses and in a head to head blend off in real time the spinach was still separated from the rest of the blend.i veto'd the blendtec bc the reviews weren't that glowing. That left me with the decision of which vitamix to purchase. I was torn between this one and the original. I choose this version because of the timers and the bells and whistles. i don't know sometimes how long i am supposed to blend something and this version gives me the option to add ingredients, sync up to the app and let the machine take it from there. there has not been on recipe when i let the app control that has come out wrong. also if i want to be experimental i can with the dials.Buy it. you wont regret it.

Excellent Machine: Very very loud at high speed; very loud at medium speed, loud at low speed.
Absolutely an awesome blender. Also purchased the food processor attachment. Everything was easy to assemble and use. Every attachment is dishwasher safe (except the motor base), however the recommended cleaning method using a drop of dish-soap in the water filled containers, then turning on the unit (followed by a rinse) works very well and is faster than the dishwasher.Very loud blender assembly... from loud to very-very loud depending on speed setting. I have and use hearing protection, and recommend all users wear hearing protection. It may seem like it is unnecessary, but if you use your blender with any frequency, the noise level will degenerate your hearing over time. [FPN: I knew from both reviews and friends who have this unit, it was LOUD, but I felt (still do) it was worth the purchase. Sidebar: I also wear hearing protection (plus other PPE) when using my power tools (chop-saw, table saw, circular saw, zip-saw, drill, etc.). So, I suggest you treat this tool in the same manner as other power tools and protect your hearing!]User Note; the blender motor controller will not allow the motor to energize unless all of the blending (and food processing) attachments are fully seated and the lids/covers are properly (tightly) secured.I'm very glad I have this blender; for me it's very useful and provides all the power to do what it's designed for, with ease.Pros: excellent power range, speed and controls; awesome attachments.Cons: pricy and loud.

The BEST of the Best!!
This blender is far more than a regular blender! The Vitamix reputation for quality and ease of operation is well exemplified in this product. I originally bought it to make smoothies and was very impressed with its power in chopping right through the veggies, fruit and ice and incorporating all ingredients into each other. The blender also has an option for self cleaning, and what a joy that has been. Although I have not tried it yet, this blender will make HOT soup to pour right out of the blender into the soup bowl. I have never seen that option before! I have had other blenders where the veggies get caught up so I was having to undo the blender and rearrange the veggies by hand many times over. No chance of this ever happening with the Vitamix! It is expensive by comparison, but worth every penny!!

There is a difference in blenders...
We've gone through blenders as most people probably have over the years. The last one lasted a few weeks and after some discussion we decided we needed a better one. Why did we get this one?- Durability, it's made extremely well.- It grinds rice for flour. (We have a health issue in the family requiring gluten free meals).- It actually blends better than anything we've owned (Look at the videos and reviews online, look at the coffee shops and see what they have).- Blending container options (the smoothie containers really work well).- You can walk away from it while running (up to you). The only downside is the expense. With a health issue and the ability to buy items vs processing them at home, we felt this was worth the price.Adding another note on this.- We have an RV and bought a cheaper blender at big box to make smoothies; didn’t want to bring Vitamix along because our daughter uses it. I tried to make a smoothie with fruits and vegetables like I do with the Vitamix, it didn’t turn out so well. My wife asked I was going to drink it and said maybe we need another.
