Great for better regularity and organ health.
Always buy live active grains, not powder starter. Came as pictured and provide enough probiotic for one person. If cared for every day or two it growed to be enough to share with others within a few weeks.

Excellent grains!!
These worked immediately!I live in a warm dry climate and only had to ferment on the counter for 24 hours before the kefir tasted just right.I use simply watermelon juice and keep mine in a mason jar with a towel on top instead of in a corked bottle.Its been about a week and they look like they are already growing.Excellent starter grains!

Probably work if you know what you are doing.
I am giving this a five star because I think the problem with the fermentation was me. I could not tell if the little grains expanded or not. I have never used them before. I will probably try again.

Did not work!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I tried so hard to get these to work. I followed the instructions to a T. I used spring water literally followed the process step by step, and all that happened was the eater would smell like dirty feet. The grains got hard so I researched and added a touch of blackstrap molasses, it did not help. I then rinsed them as the instructions said and tried to give them a rest. They never snapped into action. I have given up and tossed them and probably going to donate all the supplies I got to do this. Frustrated, I am sure with all the positive reviews everyone will think it was me and that's ok because I sure have no clue I guess.

Sometimes kefir water grains won't react ir fernent
I followed the instructions that came with the kefir grains but they did not react or ferment.

Directions are only in Spanish!
I'm still figuring out how to figure it out since the only instructions I received are in Spanish. Nothing on the order page indicated that instructions would be in Spanish. The website does have directions in English, but that's an extra step that I can't keep handy while working with the product since I don't like to have my phone or tablet around heat and liquids in the kitchen. Just a nuisance that I wish I didn't have to deal with. Will probably be fine, just annoying.
