Easy to install! We had an obnoxious hammer. It seriously sounded like a hammer when the water stopped! It took about 5 minutes to get both arrestors on. I attached them to the washer instead of at the valve. It doesn't matter if it is at the valve or at the washer. I started a load of clothes and it was amazing!!!! No more hammer! I just installed today so I hope they last but the initial results are just amazing!

We purchased these for a washer/dryer combo machine and installed them directly on the back of the unit. We've had them for two months now and they seem to be holding up. When our machine switches from washing to drying it does a condenser clean cycle that pulses the water on and off. Before, it was hammering our water pipes; causing a loud banging that could be heard throughout the house that rattled the pipes/hoses. Now, it is nearly silent and the flexible attachment hoses still move but only slightly and gently.

These certainly helped the water hammer noise, but did not get rid of it entirely. I consulted a plumber who said this noise is common and the number one complaint (including himself!) of the newer washers. He recommended I try these.

Amazing Product - it works! I had 12 year old arrestors on my washing machine outlets, and the las 12 months my pipes were making loud banging noises and high pitched noises when filling. I replaced them with this product and now dead silent. All strange hammering and whining noises gone. Smooth like it should be.

I had been using a different brand previously then saw these when I needed to replace the old ones. I liked that I could get 2 at this price point. Install was easy and they are holding up great so far. Easy to install, no leaks, great value.

Product works great! I replaced my outdated washer and installed a new high efficiency washer and upon first wash, the pipes made a loud bang when the washer would call for water. These worked exactly as expected and basically eliminated damn near all the banging in the pipes. Highly recommend!

They seem to be of good quality materials. I installed this on an outside faucet that had a water timer on it and when it shut off it would rattle the pipes. It helped a little but did not cure the issue. Probably needs a bigger dampener. Don't think these little dampeners are enough to make any difference.

I've used this for 2 seasons now and it has eliminated the pipes banging when my sprinkler timer would shut off. Without this, the pipes would bang so loud it would wake the entire household. Now, the taps shut off and you don't even notice! I hope it lasts for a long time.

Very easy installation process (attached directly to the hot and cold inlets on my LG washer. This took care of the water hammer caused by the rapid opening of the solenoid valves that engage when the washer fills at the beginning of the cycle. The machine runs silently after the installation. Here is my only gripe - the packaging label is very ambiguous. In two places it says lead free and in a third it indicates a low lead content. Since I am not using this on a potable water line I was not too concerned about the ambiguity. It would be really great if the vendor would weigh in on this and indicate if this product is truly lead free - for peace of mind in potable water applications.

They have the wrong thread for Australian use, don't buy these.

Not for UK (EU?) washing machines. The washing machine hose fits correctly but when other end is screwed to the water tap or the washing machine it's still slack. Turn tap on, serious water leak. Reason; this is for hose connection ONLY, therefore washing machine hose fits fine but washing machine is not a hose connection, therefore leaks. Simple! This should be made clear in the listing description
