Perfect Fetch Toy for a Small Dog
I purchased this as a replacement for a similar "twig" toy that I accidentally chucked way over a fence and into a drainage system (oops). Our poor little fetching Mini Dachshund was depressed at the loss; it was literally her favorite item for fetching. So I was glad to find this replacement on Amazon.A lot of the reviews say that this toy is too small and their dog destroys it. Pay attention to the product's dimensions. This is a small toy, and probably not the best option if you have a large dog (e.g., Labrador). It's perfect for small dogs. They do make a longer model called "the stick" if "the twig" is too short. In my opinion, the rubber is fairly thick, it's durable and resilient (for a small dog anyway). Our dachshund continuously chews on it whenever she is finished fetching. Now I'm not talking all day here. She'll chew on it for a good 5-10 minutes at most. I routinely check her toys for damage, and neither this twig nor the previous twig have ever had any pieces missing or been chewed in half. I point this out because I probably would have been afraid to purchase this based on some of the reviews here stating the toy was easily destroyed from chewing. Two last items of interest: 1) the picture shows three twigs, but you are only purchasing one twig toy--which seems obvious, but the picture does show three twigs 2) you cannot choose the color of the twig--you get whatever you get. We received two green twigs (scored!), which is good because I was worried we were going to end up with the ugly white and light orange swirl color.Bottom line, this is a great little toy for a small dog who likes fetching.

Great for playing fetch but not so great if you ...
Great for playing fetch but not so great if you have a power chewer that likes to chew the toy as he returns it. My boxer loved it for about 7 minutes and then he ruined it. Would definitely be a perfect toy for a less destructive dog.

Size matters
Too small for my dogs. I should have paid more attention to size, period. We just don't use it.

Smaller than expected
I bought the twig and the stick for my labrador. These are great not only as a toy but also as a treat dispenser. Instead of a kong I place a little bit of peanut butter on either end of the stick and she loves it. If you have a larger dog, go for the stick and pass on the twig.

Too Small
My Lab did like it but the thing is too small for a Lab. He went to town and took out chunks. Would be perfect if it were thicker and longer. Was disappointed to see this small thing in the mail!

not as durable as I was expecting
This product was great for the first few months with my dog, but he soon ripped it to pieces. I thought it would be a more durable material that would prevent him from ripping things to shreds like he normally does.

Not enough info
There was not enough information about this. When it came, it was big enough for a miniature toy dog maybe. I have a huge blood hound who loves these things to chase but this thing was smaller than the remnant she plays with now. Very dissapointed there was not something that said it was so small. I sent it back and, as always, you guys are awesome with returns.

Durable Fetch Toy
This is a more durable version of the tree stick that most dogs seem to enjoy picking up and playing with outside. Our puppy loves it. He enjoys fetching it and he also enjoys just having it in his mouth as he trots around. We don't have to worry about him getting hurt though as with a stick. Our puppy enjoys it so much that we intend to buy the larger Ruff Dawg Stick toy for him for when he is bigger.
