RoccatSyn Max Air - Wireless 3D Audio RGB Gaming Headset with Charging Dock

Impulsively bought this as I was super intrigued by the system, and I’ve not been disappointed. A few niggles to get used to for me but it’s absolutely brilliant build and audio quality more than makes up for the smaller inconveniences of switching off after turning on sometimes. All needs doing it to power it on again and works absolutely fine - and might be a system/user issue on my side. Almost faultless product, very comfortable for long use and great battery life. highly recommend.

I love the design of this headset, and I love the sound. But Swarm is just horrible and Roccat should have left that particular application to control RGB lighting as that's all that it's good for.I've had several issues with the microphone not being recognised by games and when updating software the headset had a meltdown and I had to use the recovery tool to fix it.I also find the dock fiddly to use. If you have the headset at the smallest size it does not contact the charging points on the base properly and won't charge.So every time I take the headset off, I have to put the right hand side to the largest size and mess around to get it to make a clean connection on the base and begin charging.In all honesty, I couldn't recommend this headset given the issues that I've had with it.Edit 14/03/25 - these are the biggest waste of money. Please, please, do not buy them or you will regret it. The headset suffers from the issues detailed above, but also creates the loudest crackling sound when you arise an lower the microphone. I've had to factory reset the headset twice to get it to work properly. Really poor show from Roccat.

Absolute piece of garbage, worst headset ive ever had the displeasure of using. Usually a big supporter of Roccat headsets but this is the worst thing theyve every brought out. Connection starts with an annoying loud woman repeating the same 3 phrases everytime you start it up followed by a loud crack after each phrase. Fact that its bluetooth wireless messes with Windows 11 so doesnt know whether it wants to connect via bluetooth or not as a headset or a speaker. Volume wheel on the side doesnt work if its connected as a headset only a speaker. Equalizer worked for me about 3 times in total. doesn't hold the shape super flimsy weak headband that slips down gradually with prolonged wear. Docking station is beyond garbage, 3 tiny little prongs that have to exactly line up to charge the headset except getting them to line up is anything but straight forward. Docking station HAS to be connected to laptop/pc at all times otherwise the headset wont work so not truly wireless. Charge said to hold for way longer than you actually get, i mange to get about 8-9 hours before it says its dying which is trash. DO NOT BUY THIS P*O*S

Shame because these are pretty comfortable and the sound quality is good.The software was also good - loads of adjustments.Bluetooth worked simultaneously from a phone or TV when listening to the computer which is what I was looking for. Not a fan of all the LED lighting but you can turn that off too.But the left adjuster was too loose - so for example, if you lifted the headset from the charger the earcup would change position, annoying as the right adjuster was solid. I could've used some gorilla tape to keep it in place but decided to return them and ended up with the arctis nova 7.

Worst headset ive ever had and just over 12 months old now broken. Sound cuts out a lot and have to disconnect and reconnect to pc regularly.

It’s a shame because it is designed really nicely and the box makes the entire product seem worth it but on the technical side it is shocking the Bluetooth often messes up and it usually doesn’t connect. The charging dock is incredibly problematic and the lights are so obnoxious and unclear

Had them for a few months, then stress cracks started to form which lead to them becoming impossible to wear, luckily i contacted roccat support who said it was a hardware issue, and amazon let me return and get my money back.

Bought them to use on PS5, they would initially pair but then disconnect once you try to pair the device and comes up on the screen with an error code and says that the device isn’t supported, DO NOT BUY IF WANTING TO USE ON PS5
