Great expansion to a great game
Full disclosure, “casual” games aren’t my usual thing. I’m more of the super complex, one game lasts 4-5 hours sorta gamer. (Sounds like hell to many, right?) But Hanabi (and this expansion by proxy) have been a great compromise of ease meets interesting for more “casual” engagement with friends and family. Totally a worthy add high up in the ranks of my 400+ game collection. A+

Will stick to original game
Not a fan of the cards or concept, ending up returning them. The color was slightly different than original game so if you looked close you could tell and cheat.

Resealed, possibly because the cards are a different size.
This expansion has cards that differ in size from the main game. This makes it easy to know what cards are the black powder ones in hand. Has anyone else had this issue? Maybe these are for a different version of the main game. There's no designation for which it would work with though. Oh well, guess I'll be returning this.

Good concept but overlooked detail
Overlooked the darker color on the new cards. So the concept doesn’t work. Great idea though if the card colors were the same. One is NOT sun faded, it arrived not long before the expansion.

I highly recomend the other expansion its small but i always use it, i havent used this one since i got it

Absolutely disappointed with this buy. I wasn’t just missing a card, but I received 3 no.4 cards and only had 1 no.5 card. That is incredibly way off the no. of cards of each number as listed in the expansion pack it comes in as well as in the instructions. Terrible. Unacceptable. Refunded this immediately as soon as I saw this.

Not a full deck?! Just the expansion color…..so sad.
