Very soft, I can crush them with my fingers, dog isn't fond of them, but he's picky, I just mix it with some soft food.

After about 3 weeks my dog completely stopped itching and scratching. Huge difference.

Dog definitely loves the taste but as far as helping her scratching it doesn't seem to help.

I use them as a pill pocket substitute...although they crack a little bit if you hold the edges while you're shoving down a small pill it works. But dog loves them and considers them a treat- gobbles them right up. He's a bulldog so he really doesn't chew so it makes it easier to get some pills down. Sooo much easier than a huge gel pill he might bite and make a stinky mess with fish burps, and don't have to shove down his throat. I will say I don't know if something changed in the formulatin this last year. The first 2 I had gotten were a little darker and more oily in consistency. The last 2 have been a little more dry and lighter in color but I noticed they were the same exact batch so maybe in several months that will change but the dog still loves them the same.

I was hesitant to buy these because they are a little pricey and one of my dogs is very picky about what he eats and has a sensitive stomach. I decided to try them anyway because my Vet suggested that all of my senior dogs be on Omega-3s. They were not fans of the Salmon oil on their food and I can’t imagine trying to give each of them big supplement pills every day.To my surprise, they all LOVE these chews! I hate to even call them chews because they are not chewy at all. They are soft enough that my pups with missing teeth have no trouble eating them.My dogs love them so much that think they are treats and come running when they hear me opening the plastic jar.I also use them as a “pill pocket” for medication. The pill can be fully inserted into the chew and my dog has no idea, which is a godsend since he can find the pill and spit it out in everything else I’ve tried.None of my dogs have had any digestive issues taking these.I haven’t noticed a significant change in their allergies, but their fur is very soft and shiny. I will definitely be buying again!

These are soft and both my dogs love them. My dogs are on high quality food that is quite expensive yet their coats were not looking great. Especially my Pomeranian, she had dandruff and she just looked dry. My mixed breed was just looking dull and lackluster. I started them both on these and wow, the difference is just amazing. They both look shiny with healthy coats and no more dandruff. I give my Pomeranian a half of one to a whole one and my 80 pound dog I give two to, I originally bought them for my Pomeranian and that’s why I was just going to give my bigger dog some to try but he’s doing wonderful on two of them so I dropped my Pomeranian down to a half of one, she is 9 pounds and she is still doing wonderful on that amount.

First time ordered had a fishy smell --- figures --- and the dogs loved it. Noticed 2nd container seemed to have no smell at all. Dogs will not touch the treats, despite my efforts to coax them. Non-returnable item, of course, and Amazon tells you to go to customer service for replacement, but that process just takes you in a loop back through returns. Looks like item is "out of stock" in any case. ;^/

When it first arrived and I opened the jar it was full to the top with the chews but after having been opened the chews seem to have shrunk in volume just a bit and I imagine they were vacuum packed. They do have a pleasant odor to me as a person, but my old female chihuahua won't go near them. I imagine most dogs would be glad to have such a treat, but if you have an older, picky type of dog, you might end up with a problem like I have. I even broke the chews up into small pieces and mixed with cheese and then with a scoop of ice cream and she still turns her nose up and won't touch them. I still want the really great benefits and supplements that are in these chews to make her life and health better, but I am having the devil of a time getting her to work with me and take them and they are to powdery to just force down her throat. I am still pleased with all the benefits listed in these chews and if I can figure out how to coax my poor old dog to try them I will be glad to give this product 100 stars and I do not blame the product at all, just don't know how to get her to like them as much as I do.
