Great Microwave, Great Customer Service. You won't regret it.
I'll be honest, I bought it solely for the looks. I wanted a red one to match my red mini fridge in my office and it looks the coolest. So, I was extremely pleased that it is ALSO an awesome microwave with more features than I know what to do with (I actually had to read the manual to see them all), but easy to use, works amazing, and did I mention looks awesome? It's quiet, perfect sized, and cooks evenly. My hot pockets have never been done so perfectly. There's plenty of room inside for most frozen meals or single dishes to reheat. What's more? The company and their customer service is amazing. Admittedly to my own error, I opened the box upside down and the glass plate was on top (i'd recommend reconsidering that packaging, but I could also just be stupid). It slipped out and broke. I contacted the manufacturer hoping at the very least I could buy a new plate. They responded immediately, and communicated clearly and did me a solid favor and sent me a new plate without charging me. I'm a fan for life, I can't recommend this microwave enough.

Great Microwave with Unparalleled Style
I used the microwave a month to make sure it wouldn't fall apart...based on some of the reviews here, I'm lucky the rotating plate didn't break, the handle didn't fall off, or the oven didn't burn down the kitchen. Instead, it survived, though it's only been a month, so who knows. Bottom line, this microwave is not only the best-looking microwave I've ever had, it's the easiest I've ever used. Hit the big round button and it turns on for one minute, then rotate the button to quickly scale your time up or down. There are a bunch of other features that are also easy to understand for anyone with a fifth grade education, but I've cooked meals and reheated items more than once a day for a month and I'm delighted with the overall performance. Yes, the interior light only comes on when the oven is running, not when you open the door. Are the other reviewers blind or something? That just isn't a big deal. Yes, it beeps three times when the cooking session ends. I don't live in a monastery under a vow of silence, so that's okay. The beeping is no louder than any other microwave I've owned. Yes, the power plug forces the microwave to sit about 2½ inches from the wall (see pics)...and the owners manual recommends it sit 3 inches from the wall for venting purposes. I'm okay with that. None of the hundreds of other reviews showed photos of the black version of the microwave, so I'm showing it in several pictures here. It is a handsome devil, even in black, and it harmonizes beautifully with my granite countertop. The interior is plenty big enough for a standard dinner plate (see pics), and therefore big enough for any frozen dinner. The 800 watts of power is slightly less than my usual 900 or 1,100 watts, but it cooks well and cooks evenly. I just follow the directions on a frozen dinner (which are written for 1,100 watt microwaves), maybe adding 10 or 20 seconds to the timing, and it comes out piping hot. Anyone who says it doesn't heat has a bad microwave and should return the oven within a week of purchasing...not sit around complaining about it. So I love my microwave. If it breaks in six months or six years, I'll just buy another one (hopefully when they are on sale, like I did this time). For intuitive microwavers like myself, it is unbelievably easy to use. And it's the most attractive retro-style microwave on the market, whatever color you choose, and it's really not a very close competition with any other design. I could not be happier.

Looks good and works great
The microwave is very nice and a great value. It heats well and is user friendly. The only quirk it has is you have to tap stop each time it’s finished to open the door. Otherwise it’s great.

Pretty in Pink!!!
Now this my baby right here, a little smaller in the inside than anticipated but worth the bucks I spent! Nevertheless a great product to have at home, and aesthetically appealing. Easy to clean not noisy at all!

Great 3-in-1 Griddle + Oven + Coffee Maker for Car Camping or Hotel.
I was looking for an Oven + Cooking station to carry in my car trunk when I go camping and sleep in the car. I was hesitating between the Teal Elite Gourmet Americana 2-Slice and the Red Nostalgia BST3RR. Both are small 3-in-1. I've bought both to compare them as I felt that there was not enough information on the product pages. First impressions: The Teal Americana is smaller and the coffee maker feels low-end plasticky. The Teal Americana has only one burner top and one bottom, where the Red Americana has two heating elements in the same positions. At first glance, I really liked that the Red Americana's griddle is the entire size of the oven: any bacon grease splatter will stay on the griddle, while it will land on the teal body on the other one. After using the Teal Americana during a trip, there is no bacon grease spatter due to the glass cover. Both are cute and playful. You want to make something to play with it... very fun toys. The buttons of the Red Nostalgia have a flat portion: one knows where they point to. The Teal Americana has round buttons with a minuscule indentation. I had to paint a white line on them to be able to see where they point. The coffee pot of the Teal Americana looked more secure in a moving car due to its 3 walls, but in the end, it's the Red Nostalagia carafe which is held stronger by the pressure of the no-drip ball. The oven rack of the Teal Americana is tied to the door and moves slightly with the door is opened. The Red Americana is independent of the door and has two positions (one for Teal Americana). Dimensions / Measurements: Length (similar): 19" for the Red Nostalgia vs 18.5" for the Teal Americana. Body depth (Teal Americana is way smaller): 7.3" for Teal Americana Backspace needed (when water tank open): similar Height: similar. Griddle Volume: Big surprising difference: the big Red Nostalgia's griddle is very flat and shallow. I was only able to pour 200 milliliter of water before it reached the cover. The cover also did feel very secure to me, feeling very twisted (see picture). The Teal Americana is much smaller in surface, but has a much bigger depth. I was able to pour 550 milliliter before reaching the cover mark. The Teal contains almost 3X more liquid than the Red. Coffee Pot: Similar: the Red Nostalgia is graduated for 3 cups and contains 522ml, while the Teal Americana is graduated for 4 cups and contains 515ml. Power: I plan to use one for Car Camping powered by the inverter from a Portable Power Station like a MaxOak BlueTTi, so I was especially interested in the Watts in operation. I used a Welltop Plug-in Socket Power Meter, Voltage Watt Energy Meter which gives instant+min+max watts used to measure. All numbers rounded to the nearest 5. Coffee Maker Only: Teal Americana: 605W vs Red Nostalgia: 570W = 6% difference = similar. Top Griddle Only: Teal Americana: 490W vs Red Nostalgia: 850W = 75% difference. No surprise here as I expected the two heating elements to burn 2X the power. Bottom Oven + Top Griddle together (no Coffee Maker): Teal Americana: 760W vs Red Nostalgia: 740W = suprisingly similar. Big surprise here. I reran the test multiple times, and indeed, when the four heating elements of the Red Nostalgia are on, I was seeing less power - 740W - than when only the top two were on - 850W -. Bottom Oven Only: Teal Americana: 290W vs Red Nostalgia: 340W = 17% difference. All on: Coffee Maker + Bottom Oven + Top Griddle: Teal Americana: 1300W vs Red Nostalgia: 1250W. Keeping the surprise, the Red Nostalgia uses less power when everything is turned on. The Red Nostalgia reaches its maximum power of 1350W when the bottom oven is off, and the Coffee Maker and the Top Griddle are both on. As I am very limited by my current inverter (600W) and its batteries, I went with the Teal Americana. My Teal Americana fits in the 40 Liter, 22 Inch Duffle Bags for Women, Men, Travel Heavy Duty (Black) from Trail Maker also bought on Amazon. Already used it on a few day trip where we were staying in hotel (no power limitations there) with fridge and no kitchen. It was used everyday and it was so nice to have breakfast in the room (in bed?) and be able to cook / reheat takeout. I recommend hat you get one of those 3-in-1 if you travel by car and camp or hotel.

Beautiful and perfectly functional.
I bought one of these microwaves in approximately 2011 to replace a really huge one I'd bought way back when microwaves were just getting popular around 1985. The big one worked great but I just had to replace it with something more compact when I moved to a house with a smaller kitchen, so I bought this one in 2011. It gave me perfect service till my century-old house in Detroit finally needed major electrical work. Something went wrong--a power surge or something--and it was fatal to the microwave, so after the electricians charged me an arm and a leg for new electrical service--new wiring and grounding, etc. I had to replace the microwave because of the damage it suffered because of low voltage (or something like that.) Fortunately I found the exact same model at Amazon, and here it is in my kitchen looking new--just as good and even better, since it's brand new. I consider the old (2011) one to have given me enough service (about 14 years of reliable daily use) for it to be retired and replaced with a new copy of the same model. The feature I like best about it is the "express" key. You put your food into it, close the door, and you already know how long you want it to run and the power level. To reheat a cup of tepid coffee, it's a minute on high. So you push the "express key" twice and the "power" key once and voila. If the coffee cup is only lukewarm and not cold, you push "express key" just once and the power key once and voila. You get used to that and you do it without thinking, and your kitchen experience is quick and automatic. If I'm thawing a container of my good chili mac (chili with cooked pasta added) I know exactly how long I want to zap it and at what heat level. Three taps on the "power" key, twist the timer knob to about six minutes and voila. Hot chili mac for lunch. This is an example of how important a "new" appliance becomes when its usefulness is realized. What would we do without internet? Personally I couldn't live without it. Of course the refrigerator, introduced around 1920, became "a kitchen essential" immediately--"spoiled food" became nothing but an ugly, dangerous memory. Other appliances that soon followed and became instant essentials--the electric toasterr, and then the electric mixer, the electric coffee maker, and then the electric frying pan in the 1950s--one of my favorites. And finally the microwave. And this Nostalgia Electric model is dynamite! It's a cool-looking "retro-style" addition to the kitchen counter--compact enough not to take up too much space--and does perfect work for me every day just as the first one did for 14 years. So do I like this microwave? Uh...yeah, I guess I do.

Super cute and does the job!
This is cute! It seems to work well. It may take me some time to get the system down, but, so far, it is pleasing me. It is not complicated, I just don't have time to memorise it and keep trying to follow the patterns of my old microwave. I will need to glance over the instructions, but, it has not been hard to reheat my coffee, or cook my quick meals. I don't cook much, so, I am not sure how it will do with bigger meal items. I think it can handle it though.

Not the Most Even Heat or Reliability, but Great Customer Service!
Esthetics over practicality, but I couldn't resist. (You'd think I'd learn my lesson after buying the red TV just because it was red.) It seemed rather flimsy when I got it. The tail of the A in the "Nostalgia" script was lifted up right out of the box, which was disappointing because I thought it was metal but it's malleable plastic. The handle is also plastic, but I didn't want to return it over that, so when glue didn't hold, I cut the tail end of the A off. Six months later it started acting up, light flashing, strange buzzing noises. See video. Customer service sent me a replacement. I sent them a video of what it was doing. Replacement was fast. My warranty on this will only carry until the original year is up, but that's ok. When it goes, I won't buy this brand again, no matter how much I love the looks. Not just because of how fast it started glitching out, but also because it had the most uneven heating I've ever seen in a microwave, and that's the case for both the original and the replacement. Too bad, because it's gorgeous, and customer service was great.

Beautiful
I don't know where to start!! This is the most stunning microwave I have ever bought. I honestly couldn't believe how beautiful it was when I opened it, proper retro and its so shiny and the colour is stunning. It works really well and has cooked food better than other microwaves I have used. If you want a beautiful red microwave then this is the one for you.

Microwave sold to UK. Not safe.
This microwave should not be sold in the UK. It arrived with an American style plug fitted. Not safe to use adapter or converter, as stated in info book, which came with the microwave. I contacted seller and two electricians. Seller sent me an adapter separately. Only meant for sale in Canada and USA. It could result in injury and damage. I had to return this microwave, as it was not safe to use. A hassle getting lable printed. Then courier turned up with a label ! Very stressful. No information when ordering that it had an American style plug fitted. Very disappointed, as I loved the colour and style.
