To expand it you have to turn the side handle in clockwise or counter clockwise circles and it will expand and shrink. Adding thos review because there are no instructions and it took a minute. Overall I love thos. I was worried about finding one that protected the sides of my phone while not blocking my bacj camera lens or pop socket yet could still fit my wide Trek handlebars, could easily rotate so I could capture photo and video and track my ride times and speed, plus easily slip in and out. It feels very secure and easy to use. It does not wobble around either. I've ridden maybe 20 miles of bumpy terrain since the (easy) installation and I am very satisfied with thos purchase. I'm not easy to please when it comes to purchases but thos is a great value, good price and great quality product!

I really like this phone holder. While it is a bit clunky and large, it is very sturdy. I like the adjustability of the holder, while the screw adjustment design definitely adds to the bulk and weight of the item, I always found the rubber band / tension design hard to get my phone in and out of. With the screw adjustment and cam lock design getting my phone out is a breeze. A lot of times I just use the screw adjustment to get a decent grip on my phone and don't worry about the extra compression from the cam lock. Another part of the design that I really like is the fact that it doesn't block the cameras on my cell phone. I like to take video's of my bike rides and will also do video calls with my family to show them where I'm riding. With past phone holders I had to drill a large hole in the holder so that the camera could see through. This was annoying since I had to worry about the phone moving around in the holder and the camera getting blocked. I obviously don't have to worry about any of that with this design. The only issue that I've had with the holder is that finding the right amount of "tightness" can be tricky. I've had problems where the holder would trigger the power button on my galaxy s23 if I hit a rough section on a path. Was able to reduce how often this happened, but finally went in and disabled personal assistant wake function that it was triggering.

I have used this for over a year with my Iphone SE in a unicorn Beetle case. It works great. Hold the phone solid and in a great position. Recommend you measure your phone and case to ensure it will fit. This is great holder.

I was really surprised with how well this mount turned out after all the expensive but cheaply made, breakable stuff I've had to return. I'm keeping this one! This mount lets you adjust the width to your phone (you keep it just loose enough that you can slide it in and out), and the lever on the side when flipped up will lock it into place. The holder goes up high on the sides, too, so even loose, it won't fall out. I will say that it does sit higher up and closer to you because of the height of the mount, but if you don't mind that, this is a great alternative to a lot of the alternatives that don't perform as well on this site.

This was at least the 4th phone holder I bought and it's the only one that NEVER lets my phone jump off when I take big bumps or washboards. Install is easy and solid and the ball joint doesn't move around after you tighten it. It holds my OnePlus and my son's iPhone with just a little twist to adjust the width when switching back and forth.

It works but I'm not a fan of how this mounted onto my small 22.2mm handlebars, and then the ball swivel is super disappointing. Even fully tightened my phone keeps swivelling down to 90 degrees where I can't actually see the screen.

This phone mount holder is perfect for my application. I have a cruiser bike and needed the ability to access my iPhone 13 mini quickly and easily. The holder was easy to mount to my handlebar, was solid once mounted, and was easy to put my phone in and remove it. Vibration is minimal and it absorbs shocks well. I do recommend it to my friends.
