Direct fit for JD LA135
This fit perfectly and only required swapping over the stock choke assembly so that it pulls down instead of pulling toward the back. Once installed the engine fires up and runs perfectly without fail.

Doesn't work on my 22hp Craftsman ys4500
After making sure this carburetor would be compatible with my YS4500 22hp riding mower & reading a LOT of reviews, I ordered it. After a week I was able to find the time to install it, so I took pictures before, during and after the removal including cable and linkage positioning as well as where each gasket goes and how. Once I installed the new Carb, etc. the mower fired right up but it Raced really fast and the Only way to slow it down was to shut the mower off or use the choke to make it stall. The throttle lever had no control whatsoever, even after I had adjusted it just to see if it would help. I missed the return window thinking I could make it work, thinking it was something I did wrong. Ultimately, I reinstalled the old carburetor and it idled as it did before, without making any adjustments which leads me to believe the new carb isn't a "plug and play" or maybe it's faulty? I don't know?? Good Luck!saw one where it mentioned his mower engine Raced @ High rpm's after the installation.

Extremely high RPMs when this was installed
The engine ran at extremely high RPMs when I installed this. I could not get it to come down. I removed it and reinstalled the old carb and it ran just fine. Unclear what the defect is here, but it nearly shook my machine apart. It mated to all surfaces just fine. Matched the old carb line for line. I did get the use out of the pre-filter and air filter, spark plugs, oil filter and gaskets. Basically everything but the carb. The needle valve on the float did act like it was getting stuck along the wall of the nozzle. It kept springing back, actively pushing the float away even when the carb was turned upside down. Until when I changed the carbs back out and it didn't force the float away. Torn right now between tearing it down to see if it can repaired, and returning the carb by itself (as everything has been used) as a defective item.
