Deceiving
The plug is not an internal fit of 1.5 inches. It's overall.

Nice and weighty, but water can still seep out
A bit fiddly to fit but solid and attractive. My only complaint is that the seal is not all that good and if you leave something soaking in the sink, you often come back to a dry sink as the seal was not really up to the job. However, if you just use your sink to quickly wash your extremities and then release the waste water, it is more than suitable for the job.
