Makes editing and exporting my content so much easier! The bonus is not having to drain your batteries in order to look at what you shot! Only downside is I don’t have long enough nails to get memory card out

Works well with my Insta360 X3. I just plug it into my phone and the app opens and it works.

It does not work with the iPads with the usb c port. But that’s not a deal breaker for me since I can get it to upload to my MacBook for editing in Premiere.

When you use this, it bypasses the memory card in the camera and goes right to the memory card in the quick reader. When you’re done shooting, you take this off the camera and plug it into the lightning port in your phone so it reads the files quickly. Way quicker for downloading and no Bluetooth/WiFi connection required.You do have to remove one of the covers on the camera to use this, but it comes off easily and this stays on very securely.Note: you can’t have this installed on the camera and attach the phone at the same time, it’s one or the other.

Very usefull to edit insta360 videos, save battery consumption and increase the speed of video editing process, it's a very important accessory

My M2 iPad Pro is my "main computer" ("What's a computer?" ... pffff, lol, I fell for it. Good one, you got me, Apple). Before I purchased the Quick Reader I wrote to Insta360 support to inquire about a faster means to transfer files to my iPad Pro for editing, they recommended the Quick Reader. This is what irritates me most about this purchase.Apple Files app sees the device and all the files in the DCM folder, but the Insta360 app does not popup when inserted, nor is there any way to get it to see the device is connected. After reading several forums I learned it will not work with any iOS/iPadOS device with USB-C. This could be solved if they would give the app Files access. I suspect Insta360 won't allow that so they can sell more of these overpriced near useless devices (for Apple users).This also means these devices will be useless for *any* new non-Mac Apple device going forward as starting this year (2023) all new Apple devices will use USB-C/Thunderbolt, including iPhone 15, due to EU universal charging port law. I predict an app update will suddenly "fix" this last minute so they can sell more of these in the mean time for iPhone owners. Insta360 says its an iPadOS limitation. I don't see how as I have a multitude of other apps that can access and/or transfer files directly from USB-C drives.I should mention that transfer speeds over Lightning to my iPhone are not much faster than over WiFi (painfully slow for clips over a minute). I am returning this and, unfortunately, probably the camera and all the other accessories I bought for it. I'm just not willing to wait an hour or more everyday to transfer footage for editing.I do have a laptop, but there is no official Linux editor for Insta360 footage as far as I'm aware. A few people have gotten the Win executable to work (with lots of crashes) in WINE, but it won't even launch for me. I'm past the tinkering stage in my life (use to be fun), I just want stuff to work so I can get my work done faster and have more time to play..
