But in this book (and as a writer this is a first for me) it truly adds to the charm.

If you own one of these big brown dogs, this is a must read. Anyone who owns a Chesapeake Bay, knows that it is a life second to none. Even though I do not hunt my Chessie's I can see my girls in almost everyone of these stories.

I love the story is this man rights and I love the way he writes them. Reminds me of Huckleberry Finn in the adventures of Tom Sawyer

I guess I'm not into dogs enough to enjoy this book.

Humerous and heartfelt. As a Chesapeake owner myself, it was very familiar.

Awesome book and wonderful stories. He makes you think you are right there in the experience.

Stories are boring, undeveloped, and often not specific to Chessies. Was hopeful given the great cover photo. Very disappointed. Don't waste your money.

So much heart with a fantastic sense of humour
