Q: what would everyone suggest for new savage axis with monstrum picatinny rail? medium or low

I have a savage axis II precision and I chose the high profile rings. They give you more adjustability cheek weld and eye relief without being close to the barrel.

Q: Ring height for 44mm bell ? Med , high ?

I would use a High ring that should be high enough to clear your barrel.

Q: how many inch lbs. of torque is recommended for these rings

Stick with the standard ring torque values that are discussed all over the internet. For me I first take into consideration the caliber and recoil that is generated, rifles with muzzle brakes can reduce recoil considerably. All that taken into account I will torque scope rings 12-18 “lbs and ring mounting base 25-30 “lbs.

Q: What height do I need for a 56mm scope, picatinny rail on a remmington 700 action/ barrel ?

I have a precision rifle with picatinny scope mount as well. As to you question about the Rem 700 platform I would go with the “high profile” option as I did. Depending on your adjustable cheek weld mounting or if stationary cheek weld stock also plays a part in what works for you. But all in all I believe the “high profile” option would work best, I have about 3/4 of inch from bottom of my scope to top of the barrel with this option and still have great eye relief. Hope this helps.
