Getting ready to take my EP-C certification exam and it has been an excellent resource for studying. Glad I picked it up!!

Good condition

Currently studying for my EP-C and this book has a good amount of content that is addressed on the test (I am retaking it). On the publisher's website, they state the book includes "student and instructor resources, including fully searchable online text, videos, a test generator, PowerPoint presentations, and an image bank". This is very misleading as only 21 videos pertaining to patient assessment are available to students. An online text is not even included. They display the instructor resources for you, but you cannot click them, which is a little frustrating. Therefore: 1. Buy a used/rental copy and save some money, as you are not gaining much 2. Supplement this purchase with the ACSM Certification Review text since the online resources are lacking I emailed the publisher and told them that they should amend their website listing. I tried asking for instructor access, and they said that would undermine classroom integrity (which makes sense when it comes to the test generator). I will update this review after my exam.

The book is a great resource for studying for the ACSM EP-C. But it’s one of many resources required which is more a criticism of the ACSM rather than the book. There are a few typos throughout. Overall, would recommend if the goal is to become an ACSM EP-C.

Bought this book thinking that it would be cheaper than buying it from the Wolters Kluwer Website since in the description it noted that it came with the PrepU access code, but it does not. The Book is in great condition, the only code they are referring to in the description is the code for videos to go along the chapter, not the PrepU code to help with studying. Get the book and prepU package from the website if you want both materials.

I am very disappointed in this purchase. I bought this book because the description left me under the impression that it came with both the textbook and an access code for ThePoint and PrepU. When I received the book, it did come with an access code, but after speaking directly with a representative from ThePoint, apparently the access code only grants me access to the online version of the book, NOT PrepU. Why I would need access to the online book when I have a hard copy is beyond me... Bottom line, DO NOT buy this textbook if you need access to PrepU...

Book is comprehensive but contains many errors. Such as showing total miles instead or total minutes, which can make calculations very confusing.
