LOVE this leash. When I first used it I was a little concern because it felt kind of heavy. After a couple more walks I fell in love with it. I think my other leash was just so cheaply made (and falling apart) I wasn't used to the weight of a well-made, sturdy leash. I honestly think that Scout, (the best dog in the world) likes it also. He prances proudly. That said, Scout is an XL Dog. Aussie Cattle and Shephard Mix who weighs over 90 lbs. He can handle the weight of this leash. I adore the triangular padded handle, so much better on my arthritic hands. I think the second handle is marvelous. Scout is a friendly dog that thinks the whole world loves him, so he tends to want to stop and talk to every person we meet on our walks, especially when we do urban walks. I used to have to wrap the old leash around my arm to keep him centered next to me. Now, I just grab the second handle. So much easier!! I also think Scout is walking better. When I grab the second leash he stays right next to me and doesn't try to pull away. Yay!Well made, sturdy, stylish leash, that is a super great price.Scout approved!!

I couldn't have found a leash to meet my needs better than this leash with its two padded handles. The leash is well-made and strong, but not too heavy. This is a huge plus for an 8-month old husky puppy who pulls like crazy (we're working on that) yet is still a fairly small dog. The shorter handle is the perfect length for me to keep her at my side in heeling position when we are in crowded areas, crossing busy streets, or when I take her for runs. The handle at the end of the leash is thoughtfully angled, making it even more comfortable than other leashes I've had with similar handles.I will be purchasing a second leash soon. Though the leash is very sturdy, it is not chew-proof (nothing is) and I made the mistake of leaving it within the puppy's reach when she was bored and I was preoccupied. Totally my own fault, though at least I caught it before it was completely compromised.

Great leash. I would like to see a four foot version with the second handle up a little further so I could grab and use both handles. This leash is really for a larger dog. It is a bit big and heavy for our 8 month old Bassett who is about 55pounds. It is built extremely well, very sturdy, thick material. I prefer a loop on the end vs. a handle. A loop you can wrap around your hand and have good control of the leash and not worry about slipping off your hand. With the handle you don’t have that control and feel the leash could easily slip over your hand. We live off of a busy street and the dog is crazy friendly and feels any person or animal needs her introduction even if they are across the street. So having the loop, and a shorter leash would work much better for me.All in all a good product.

I love this leash! This is the second one that I have bought. The first one works just fine, but I wanted an extra one on hand. The handle is so comfortable in the walking handle keeps my big dog close to me when walking. The leash is reflective, which comes in handy during night time dog walks. Unfortunately, Two weeks in and he was able to chew on the hard plastic which cracked into several pieces. The rope is not broken but the plastic covers parts where the rope is connected. Hopefully this doesn’t weaken the leash. I’m going to remove one of my stars as the plastic that holds the rope together it’s not very strong.

I have two larger dogs, close to 70 lbs each, and I walk them both at the same time. One is more dominant than the other, and tends to walk me most of the time. Prior to buying these, I had a dual leash that was a bungee material. While it was nice to not have to hold two handles, the bungee wasn't the best option for them because the dog that is more docile got whipped around too much by her sister. These leashes are great because the handle is like a ski rope handle (very easy to hold), and the extra handle close to the dog makes it super easy to hold my dominant dog back when we walk past another dog she doesn't like. I like the length as well, it gives them freedom while keeping them close enough to me to control. I would definitely recommend these to anyone with a dog of any size. I looked at a lot of leashes before buying these and I am glad I chose these.

This is the third and probably final leash that I will ever purchase for my Siberian Husky mix. The first I purchased from petsmart and it wasn’t long enough and because she is so strong she was pulling too much. Second leash was just purchased as a back up and still used occasionally just to transport from home to car.This leash is by far the best and I no longer have to worry about her pulling because it has the training handle which is great! With my first leash she pulled so hard it did some damage to my elbow and it hasn’t been right since. I never understood the importance of a good quality leash until I wasn’t able to move my left elbow, arm and shoulder for a few days due to her pulling while on the leash.This leash really is great I love the shorter handle it’s very convenient when walking and approaching a curb and or main road to slow the dog down. It gives perfect control.I can’t say enough about this leash and I highly recommend it.

We bought this leash for our 100 lb German shepherd because we were having a difficult time finding a leash that was sturdy and easy to hold onto at the same time. Walking a young, reactive large dog can be a bit daunting at times. This leash solved all of our problems! I love that it has a secondary handle for those times where you want to keep your dog closer to you - I've used that handle often and it's one of the main reasons I love this leash. The handle is wide and easy on the hands - I also love that there's a hook for poop bag holders. Our dog recently chewed through the first leash we bought thanks to a particularly anxious time at the vet and we didn't hesitate to order another one. It's our go-to leash for our big boy!
