Runs perfect!
I put this on a 2002 Honda Recon 250. I didn't have to make any adjustments. It runs excellent and even idled perfectly. I used my old slide as I was just going to see if the carb was any good, I ended up leaving it in so I didn't have to switch the throttle cable.Only issue I had is the fuel inlet on the carb is 5/16 and the fuel line is about 3/16. I just used one of those small engine fuel filters that accommodates different size lines. The ones you can trim off the smaller sections if you don't need them. I then used a piece of 5/16 fuel line from the filter to the carb. Had to reroute the line a bit so the line didn't get kinked. Very easy install. I am 100% satisfied.I have a Zoom Zoom brand on a different atv. Although it does run, it doesn't run very well. So I was a bit worried about trying another aftermarket carb. When it arrived, I took off the float bowl just to see, and was surprised to see the quality of the parts inside the carb. Fit and finish were excellent. Machining looked excellent as well. This particular carb worked perfect for me. I am 100 % satisfied. Especially for $25 for the entire carb.

Works Great!
First, let me say that I am not a mechanic (although I impersonate one under a shade tree). I have replaced vehicle breaks and starters and so on but never played much with a carb. I am not against taking things apart and sometimes I even have parts left over :-)I ordered this carb because my 2012 Honda TRX250TE FourTrax Recon ES was running rough and I had some foreign material in it. I cleaned out the fuel tank and ran cleaner through, but it still had low speed idle issues. I guess I could have ordered a rebuild kit, however I have never done that before and the cost of this was not much more. This way I might have spare parts.I had watched a couple of Youtube videos and felt pretty confident as long as I noted which hose went where.I had a slight problem getting the hose attached to the side (I guess it is an air line) and the gas filter supplied was not the right size. Still a great deal.I had read some people having a leak and was fully prepared just in case, but no leak appeared. I was amazed that the ATV started right up and I have not made any adjustments at all and it just worked first time. I will admit to reusing the existing throttle by just unscrewing it from the old carb and screwing in on this one. I figured if it didn't work I could go with the new part. However I didn't need to do that.

Cost effective
Worked well on my early 2000’s 250. Had to flare some fuel hose out to fit the fuel inlet, and Dremel just a bit of meat off the plastic intake due to the positioning of a vacuum line, no big deal. Just a flick of throttle and she’s on though, After it’s warmed up it will idle all day. No leaks so far either. But for the price I have zero complaints.

Very Disappointed
The media could not be loaded. I should have listened to the reviews… The throttle was stuck open and the choke didn’t work. Doesn’t sound like the quality inspection procedures are very good wherever these manufactured.

Switch vacume and throttle needle first
The vacume lines were crossed on the one I received so make sure to compare it to your factory carb so you can correct it if necessary. Also the main throttle needle assembly had a shorter spring so just use the stock one on your atv. I put this on a 1999 Honda 250 recon. It started and ran perfect without adjustment.

Fits my 2001 Honda Recon
Arrived quickly. Verified fuel line and breather tube routing, had to switch and route a tube differently that was shipped (not a big deal). Relatively easy install. Fired right up and didn't have to fine tune it. First time had a carb work right out of the box. If you don't want to pay dealership prices, this is great. Got me back up and running and back to ranch chores. No leaks and runs beautifully. Beats fighting a rebuild and cleaning.

Fuel line size did not pose a problem.
I bought this carburetor after trying two different rebuild kits and neither cured the dripping float valve. To replace the carb, I pulled three plastic pins from the rear of the left side panel. I removed the snorkel and two pins on the air cleaner box. I used long nose pliers to enlarge the end on Honda’s fuel line. I did this first while I removed the original carb. The fuel line was sufficiently stretched where it slid onto the new carb with no need for a clamp. The machine started without choking and now runs great. I have cautioned my grandkids to shut off the gas and run the engine dry before storing. I am happy with this purchase.
