Q: Is this case waterproof and rugged enough to take hunting to carry a bipod?

Definitely heavy weight material. Strong enough to carry a heavy astronomy tripod and 35 pounds of counter weights. Heavy Cordura like outer layer with a tight woben liner. Not sure if the zipper is waterproof enough to drop in a lake but should have enough protection for a normal downpour.
