How many batteries does it take to operate?

It can be operated on one 2s-4s battery, but is capable of having three batteries on board simultaneously with the three built in battery tie down locations (one on each side, and a smaller one in the center behind the transmission.) I use mine with two 3s 5000mah batteries mounted on each side side to help with weight balance and run time

What battery does it require?

3s Lipo with ic5 or ec5 connetor.. 2 batteries is optimal due to balancing out the weight of vehicle and you can run the parallel plug sold separately

Can I ad light bar and rock lights

Yes you can find a light bar on amazon that comes with 4 lights on the bumper. You can also get a custom bumber on the back with a ball hitch on the back and can tow a small trailer. Make sure its in low gear (1st gear) you can get a custom light bar on the roof
